I dont feel like Im entitled to anything and am no better than anyone else. World (even Stateside) happenings just dont catch my interest. The Olympics are a big deal... its the one thing that countries from all over the world, regardless of their differences can come together and participate in something. There are some cool events to watch, but I have a busy schedule and cant sit down to watch a game of ping pong or someone run fast... +1

I wouldnt even know when elections are... are they this year? I know its November 2nd, but I dont know which year. I dont follow politics and have never voted. Plus there never seems to be a runner worth voting for: I fully support gay rights, I dont want to legalize pot, Im pro choice, everyone should own a gun, everyone should be taxed fairly, we should kick out immigrants, keep more jobs in the US, and basic healthcare should be free. I follow World Cup standings, Craigslist, Ratsun's New content, and Happiness and Cyanide. Everything else I find out second hand after the fact. Is the US doing good overall in the Olympics?

We could play leap frog with the engine. Mike can pull it and deliver it to Seattle. There I pull the spacers and pressure plate for myself. I then deliver it to La Pine, Oregon where Bonvo can install the engine.

I daily my auto L16... it does great (excluding the current issues that seem to be coming about).

What transmission is in this bish? B/W or JATCO? This is the second 71 column shift Ive seen today so Im hoping this one works out in my favor... I dont see the B/W emblem on the back, but maybe that only came on earlier models. Either way, sweet find.

Actually on the transmission... Not on the column.

The transmissions changed. The BW had the gear selector on the left and the 3N had it on the right... So there's some extra linkage to get it over to the opposite side. Was available for only a few months and then the floor shift came out.

I will admit it was quite a bit disheartening to see that they were different sizes. My engine is giving me some trouble so I'm thinking a swap should happen sooner than later. Really hoping to find a set of L20 spacers (prior to the Winter, but thanks DAT510) so I can make this L20 swap happen. Everyone hates autos... How is a set not just hanging out in a box in someone's garage?!

Yeah, DAT510 has already installed them... I PMd him once he posted those pictures. I learned a lot getting those L16 pieces from you... That's what has pointed me to the need for L20 spacers now.

Hopefully someone has a set laying around I can borrow.

I don't race my car... That doesn't make it stupid. I'm just not into extreme camber personally but I don't fault anyone else for being in it. If the rest of the car is clean and someone put a lot of effort into the vehicle I still give them respect. We only called those specific pictures out in this thread because they're not what the thread is about.

Damn nevermind. 71 was the transition year between the two transmissions and I'd be interested in the later 3N71B shifter. Oh well...

Spotted this on 16th St. in Tacoma while I was on my way to Sonic for some grub: I'm pretty sure I saw a mustard yellow 510 goon on 16th as well, but I was eating at Sonic and only saw the top of the car as it passed throw bushes. Also spotted this non-Datsun on Hwy 16 at the 5 split:

If I remember correctly its the outside dimensions of the full unit. You can get one to fit in the other, but it doesn't quite line up correctly. Also I know aesthetically the dash fascias are different... But that's purely looks.
