  1. Seriously... There's already some damage. I'd roll the fenders to fit your rims; I like the set you posted.
  2. Out of those you're going to want to pick up the 68-73 Haynes. The owners manual is what comes in the glove box when you first buy the car. It tells you how to operate the AC and stupid shit like that. It's not really needed. Grab the Haynes and download a 68 FSM for more detailed information.
  3. Hmmm I didn't know this was going on. Might have to check it out. Edit: is it this month? Just looked at my schedule and as usual... Reservist weekend FML.
  4. Why is it so far way?! I would snag that instantly...
  5. Forum rules state youre required to post a price. It can be OBO, but there needs to be a price. And as Hainz said a location would be helpful. GLWS.
  6. Just get a set of OE shocks that offer an adjustable stiffness. You dont need coilovers, but adjustable shocks will give you the ability to change the ride stiffness (not ride height) to your desired level.
  7. Yep, good advice. Pull all the carpet out the look at the condition of your floorboards. Id give it a good cleaning too to make sure you know 100% what youre dealing with. Then fix any rust/holes etc. After that youre going to want to seal it with some POR-15 or the such. Then pick up some decent carpet (just go with 71DIMERs stuff... its the best bang for the buck) and matting. You dont want to just throw new carpet over a messed up floor otherwise youre just going to hide the problems and youre going to either have your floorpans rust out of on you, youre going to have to keep replacing your carpet because water is getting through, or worse both. I would just pick up either 71DIMERs carpet or get the press-fit stuff on eBay. Both are already made for 510 and arent terribly expensive. I dont know why you would want to try to make other shit fit when theres already tried and true products out there that work great.
  8. What's the interior like?- I may have a friend who is interested.
  9. Welcome to the site and the world of Datsuns.

    STANCE

I have my coils about .25in frontall the way down and am comfortably low. Rarely do I scrape on anything but the highest speedbumps.

When you add the struts, you keep the rest of the suspension. The struts, springs (or coilovers if you choose), hubs, rotors, and brakes are what get replaced in the swap. None of that is required. 280zx struts are already shorten than 510 struts. Then once you either install coilovers or decide to cut of the stock perch and weld it lower, you will get pretty damn low. Im only a few inches off the ground with 280zx struts...
  12. Reminded me of you... go work on the wagon:
  13. Is it normal in SR swaps to have that twist in the intercooler piping?- seems a little excessive.
  14. Bastard child 510... thats why. But seriously, welcome to the site and there is some later model 510 info here with a bit of searching. Theres a few of them running around here. Tell us a little about yourself and car, throw up a bunch of pictures, and if you have any questions, requests etc. you can use your build thread to talk about them. Im sure people will love to help. Welcome to the site.
  15. You could always go uber rat/harlequin with it and rock it with a complete mismatch of parts. PMd BTW.
  16. You should throw it on a rotisserie and do it right. Could be a fun (albeit slow and expensive) build.
  17. Well, Super Clean is the shit. I took the car to work last night to use their air compressor set up. I blew all the loose shot out of my engine bay in preparation for heavy cleaning. I'm taking it to a self-serve car wash but wanted to pre-clean it to loosen everything up. I had bought some super clean on a recommendation and it's amazing! It cut through all the shit in my engine bay (dirt, grime, caked on old oil, anything) and left it really easy to removed with a simple wet rag. I can't wait to use a brush and a little bit of pressurized water at the car wash. Pictures once the bay is clean.
