  1. Nope, not that hard. Should take maybe half hour each side if you take your time.
  2. Re-read what we both wrote... 500 weeks for $500. Thats 9.6 years. 510s have front disc brakes with drums only in the rear. When you install 280zxs it includes the front brakes.
  3. Its going to take you 500 weeks to save $500?
  4. Theres like five threads on this. I apreaciate you trying to give us the heads us, but this new came out months ago. Like I stated in the last thread that popped up, were an entire site devoted to Datsuns... dont you think we would have been on top of this the instant news was released? IBTL.
  5. Psh... let me make it simple since girls like to "read between the lines." Option 1: I take 10 minutes out of my day to hit up the post office to mail you my cover. Option 2: I drive 1.5hrs south to meet up and drop off my valve cover. Then I drive 1.5hrs north to get home. Im sure every deal Jenn does has to be in person so that she can have some quality time with the buyer and talk about their feelings
  6. Haha you two ladies can both be my BFFs. Looks like Hobbes pulled through and has a set of valve cover bolts for me. Ill be meeting up with him tomorrow so now we can get to work on coating my current cover. Which would you prefer Jon: me send down the cover and you ship it back?- or we get some 'bro-time' while I bring to cover in person? Either way is fine with me...
  7. The only strut bars I have faith in are the 3pt.
  8. I cant do after 4 since I have work in the evenings, but weekends I can do. I wouldnt want to take away your time off though... I am free this weekend though. It would give me a chance to see your process down there. Always had an interest in powdercoating. Ill let you know more if/when Hobbes gets ahold of me.
  9. Hainz option was just springs and a decent set of shocks. Depending on which you choose and if you buy new or not can be had all for very cheap. The option the Q-Tip suggested can be had for about $500 or so. You mentioned you were looking at spending about $400 on just lowering the car. Qs suggestion lets you lower the car to your desired height, gives you bigger/more relieable brakes, and then if in the future you want to go lower you can lower the car farther. So youre actually getting more for your dollar in the long run.
  10. You can get a setup like that for about $500 or so... And Hainz doesnt sugarcoat anything. Hes not being mean to you, hes just being Hainz.
  11. They already make strut bars for the 510. They surface on eBay from time to time and some people make their own. I know a few that make them.
  12. Lol No I havent shipped yet. I hit the local hardware places for bolts and I came I came up short. Either the bolts were too short or too long for the cover... and I didnt want to buy 50 washers to make up the difference. Hobbes thinks he has a set, but hes at work right now. He said he was going to check once he got home. Ill text you. If all else fails, Ill drive down there and let you coat it while I wait haha.
  13. Im not even sure if my phone makes calls...
  14. Hmmmm very weird  I was so confused what happened to you. I sent designs over your way forever ago... I just assumed you were busy with life and work. Im just happy Skib hooked you up.
  15. Hmmm Thats weird. I sent designs quite some time ago for cards, but never heard anything back. I guess he went with you Skib. No hard feelings, just glad he has something to use. Seeing your Ratsun cards, Im sure theyre quality.
  16. Yes they can be expensive, but they are well worth it for quality pieces. There are far cheaper options though, just to lower a car with no adjustability and such. There are plenty of threads over many sites that already document how to lower a car on the cheap. Your friendly Google will help you out with that.
  17. Coilovers are adjustable. You just spin basically a large nut and it will lower the car. Fronts are the same as rear... they just connect to the car differently, but function the same. You would not cut coilovers in most cases. The point of coilovers is to replace your stock static (non-moving) ruspension with adjustable pieces. Some will cut coilovers to get even lower, but 98% of the people are happy with just regular coilovers.
  18. Fixed, not because Im PC, but because I like Andrew  I think we can make an exception for scan-tool use in this case.
  19. http://community.rat...kage-coilovers/ Here are front and rear coilovers. Just Google what they are for a better description on how they work. None of the items on that page will lower the front of your car.
  20. It took me a minute to figure out who Richard Cranium was... I lol'd. So someone mentioned that you need to pick up a car with OBD2. Then you can just walk into AutoZone like all the other idiots and have the ECU read to tell you exactly whats wrong with it. That way after youre banned here in the next day or two because of these shenanigans, you can fix your civic without Ratsuns help.
  21. I have ST springs in the rear and am happy with them. They work great for the size rims and tires I have.
