  1. Its taken a long time to come to the conclusion, but I have come to terms that Id rather have a Laurel SGX than a Hako. Laurels are so fucking delicious...
  2. Moderately hard to find, but not difficult.
  3. Ha, the day he posted that he didnt quite like them on his coupe I offered to take them off his hands. He said wheels are down the line though so the Technos are staying for a bit. Being in Hawaii, it would probably be easier/cheaper to get things there or from Japan since youre closer. JDMtyte yo!
  4. Well since Servals are wild animals I doubt you can get one. Just come up and hang out with me and Tyler. Hes got one and like 6 Savannahs. They were pretty epic... I offered a Datsun in trade for one, but apparently they only deal in cash.
  5. I thought that if the volt. reg. was bad, it would cause both my temp and fuel gauge to fail. Ill check that out, thanks.
  6. My IGN light likes to flash at me if my lights arent on so I decided to clean the battery terminal posts and replace all the cabling. Picked up a new positive, negative, and grounding strap.
  7. Lol I have no idea. Im not going to argue. I just know who I got them from... I coulnt not care less.
  8. Q-Tip and I fixed my leaky oil pan gasket... it was a bit of an experience, but it got done. We started a little late in the day since I had to work in the morning (and he went to the Northender meet). I was pretty sure I took more pictures but apparently my lack of sleep means I forgot how to use the camera. Anyway, just so theres pictures in here... We were suppose to pressure wash the engine after the pan gasket change so we had to pick it up from Q-Tips families house. Anyway, they breed badass Savannah Cats. Heres how ferocious they are: The pan gasket was my biggest issue so far, so its glad to get it out of the way.
  9. I was just about to post both of these statements/questions. Looks great! Picture saved for future project planning.
  10. Yes most are the full vinyl lanyard style though not all. I too was just in Japan (beginning of December) and not all were that style. They have been making the transition to all vinyl as they say theyre more resistant to bacteria and easier to clean; the woven keeps dirt easier. Thats why you can see that Goki had all those with leather straps. The pores in the leather kept a lot of dirt and bacteria from everyone touching them all the time.
  11. 100% real buddy. I have a friend in the Japanese transit authority (or whatever they call it over there) so they are able to "acquire" them for me. The two I got were brand-new for a refurb they were doing on one of the lines (probably because everyone was steeling the handles lol)
  12. I just thought I would swing by for a minute or two... I just got off work, so I rolled by. Doug... thanks for the $10 and sorry about the mess.
  13. Yeah thats his engine bay... its super clean.
  14. I'm so confused. Updates later tomorrow. Sleep time.
  15. Well, glad to know you're doing good.
  16. Holy Jesus Izzo! You went all Lindbergh Baby on us and disappeared. Glad to see you're still kicking.
  17. Hmmm weird. I never had any issues with any of my 4G63Ts, granted speed density worked a billion times better, but I don't think I have had any MAF turbulence issues. Good to know though, thanks Josh!
  18. I mean to say this every time I see a KA, but I never get around to it: why would the intake reach all the way around from the colder side of the engine to the hotter side (the side with the exhaust manifold). It's never made any sense to me. Anyway, your wagon looks great. Congratulations on your purchase.
  19. Pros and cons to new vs. used?- or 510 vs. ZX? New vs. used should be obvious. If 510 vs. ZX: -ZX will pull the wheelbase in about 3/4in on both sides allowing you to fit wider rims. -ZX brakes are larger than 510s. They were made to stop about a 900lb heavier car so they will work great on a 510.
  20. This is what I do. It's a bit annoying for a feature, but regardless how careful I am, it's always nice to know I can't lock my keys in the car. Well worth the pain of using the key to lock it. If my back doors are open, I do as previously stated and lock the fronts through the back. Then lock the door and close it... But then I make sure I jingle my keys in my hand to prove I have them before closing the door.
  21. You can buy those springs through Rock Auto for about $50 I think.
