I was looking that glass and thought to myself, the odds of replacing that are phenomenally slim. Quote Link to comment

wayno
Parts for rare trucks like these are hard to find, do not accidently break glass is all I would tell you. There is one of these in Portland Oregon or there was a couple years ago when I went and looked at it, same basic color without white top, I have photos of it on my old computer, here is a link to the truck before exported to the USA. https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=a7dfce099baf795fJmltdHM9MTY5Mzg3MjAwMCZpZ3VpZD0xZjYxMmI3Mi04OTdiLTY4N2ItMzlkOC0zYjg1ODhkMzY5ZWYmaW5zaWQ9NTIwNw&ptn=3&hsh=3&fclid=1f612b72-897b-687b-39d8-3b8588d369ef&psq=U521+ratsun&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly9yYXRzdW4ubmV0L3RvcGljLzY0NjE1LW5ldy1tZW1iZXItd2l0aC11NTIxLw&ntb=1 I expect that any 521 heater box will work, but you will also need the vent assembly that bolts to the firewall if it is not there plus the rubber piece that connects to the front of the heater box, Jakes Makes made some aftermarket ones with a 3D printer, I had a 1962 Datsun U320 until last year when I sold it to a guy in Idaho, it also did not have a heater, the owner in Australia made a heater by cutting the vent assembly and they used silicone to glue the heater core into it, I copied some photos, it had the vent assembly, maybe yours does also. You need to salvage everything you have if it is broken, figure out a way to repair everything, do not throw anything away. Quote Link to comment
mrbigtanker
Beautiful truck man. Does anyone know if the later model heater cores will fit in this UTE ? Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Since it's LHD, 1300, I believe it should be called a UL521 double pickup, as per the FSM. No mention of any heater differences in the FSM. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
See if the firewall has two holes with rubber plugs for the heater hoses. The air inlet is likely sealed off but there and the defroster vents covered with delete plates? Quote Link to comment

I have never seen a defroster delete plate, my RHD 1962 Datsun U320 did not come with a heater box, it did have the vent assembly, it did have defroster vent assemblies with nothing connected to them, the hole for the heater motor switch in the dash had a delete plug in it, the firewall had plugs in the very early holes for the hoses.
