d.p
I thought about getting it PC'd but not sure I can replace the crumbling rubber seals. So anyone have theirs done? If so what did you do? 1 Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
I don't understand the excitement over powder coat! After all it's nothing more than a thin coat of melted plastic. Bond to the metal is dependent on surface preparation. If you are going to do a proper clean and de-grease, why not do a proper prime and paint, it will last a lot longer. 2 Quote Link to comment
DanielC
1968 VW chrome blue is a very close match to the original color of the Datsun air cleaner housing. 1 Quote Link to comment
KELMO
I have used Dupli-Color Pontiac Blue #1610 and would post a pic if not for PB being.....well you know the story. 1 Quote Link to comment
d.p
KELMO, you just sand/paint it yourself then? 1 Quote Link to comment
KELMO
Yes, sand, primer then paint. I only did the exterior as I did not want to ruin the rubber bits on the inside. This pic is the only one I could find and would have been taken shortly after painting the valve cover and air cleaner. The OE color is a shade or 2 more pale. High temp primer and paint. 2 Quote Link to comment

Crashtd420
I have a place in town that makes rattle cans from any paint code.... look for an automotive paint supplier near you.... Worse case text me the paint code and I'll get one made and send it to you if you need.... but you should be able to find a local place.... Quote Link to comment
zed1
Consider having Sherwin Williams color match the paint in their quart oil enamel gloss. Then use Preval (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Preval-9-oz-Complete-Spray-Gun-267/202533738) to apply. Keith Quote Link to comment
