Wutang_415
You're making great progress, I'm enjoying this. Thanks! Progress it is... Also issue #5,542,654,453: For some reason the left quarter panel does not line up with the rear valance when it's bolted to the bumper rail... not sure how this happened since the quarters are both the same size and the rails are too. Maybe the valence is bent. Either way this is a pain. 1 Quote Link to comment
Wutang_415
Right side of the trunk floor got little (lotta) bit of love: Left side ground down: aaaaand seam sealer + 2x POR-15: Trunk floor is finally done. And on to the tail light panel... Quote Link to comment
Wutang_415
hello rear end - The plug welds are tough on the paper thin sides of the panel so just tacking those up for now until i build a little thickness to actually plug em. Now I need to do the same with the valence but underneath the car . . . This will suck, any tips for plug welding upside down? :geek: 2 Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Reduce your voltage slightly compared to normal welding 2 Quote Link to comment

racerx
Dang, when I have 3 people on mine, it rubs. No tire rubbing? Quote Link to comment
Wutang_415
Dang, when I have 3 people on mine, it rubs. No tire rubbing? I raised it about 1" in the rear in preparation and it did fine, no rubbing. Tires are 185's so pretty narrow. Quote Link to comment
Wutang_415
Made a little video for the quarter panel replacement: It's not much but it was pretty fun to make. Cheers! 3 Quote Link to comment

Wutang_415
Little update: not a whole lot has changed since summer but I also realized I never updated this thread so here's a couple pictures. Winter is here now, so that means a lot of garage time for the 510. Hoping to finish sealing everything, grind the seams smooth and paint match the yellow in the next couple months! stoked! 4 Quote Link to comment
