metalguy541
Lhd coupe... some underseat panels. Anybody can bend a straight line... the curved ones are tricky 8 Quote Link to comment

metalguy541
Since i figured out how to make bends with corners.... now i can make full length floor pans for the front. Obviously the factory seat brace gets r&r'd for install if stock seati mounting is retained. 3 Quote Link to comment
metalguy541
My newest "long" front floors.... these ones go past the front seat mount to the rise mid floor. Sold a few sets of these now. The underseat panels installed... all single layer tig welded and sanded down. Not quite finished in this pic but ya get the idea Got a few futofab parts... Wanted to get this rocker opened up to see if anything needed replaced before i did the floors... typical rust at the rear and a giant mess of previous repair... but cleaned up nice. The way i like to do rockers allows me to stitch weld inside the rocker. 3 Quote Link to comment

INDY510
When you shave side markers like this, do you weld from inside the trunk, to reduce grinding time? Or should I just weld them from the outside? Do you use any copper to prevent burning through? 1 Quote Link to comment
metalguy541
Its tig welded from the outside... no actual grinding... just hit with 50gt on a sander and dress the high spots 1 Quote Link to comment
metalguy541
Also i round off the ends of the square around the screw hole... sharp corners are bad when patching sheetmetal 1 Quote Link to comment

metalguy541
Sorry.... not on here much. You can find me on fb ratsun by searching floor pans. I have no problem making pans for other cars/trucks... however i have to have something to make patterns from. 1 Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
I don't have any clean stock pans to work from or I would cut and donate to your tooling. Quote Link to comment
