Anyone listen to "Car Talk" on NPR? R.I.P. Tom Magliozzi

Recommended Posts

Does anyone listen to the show "Car Talk" On NPR on the weekends? The show is hosted by two brothers, Tom and Ray. Tom passed away today.

I listened to it with my dad and grandfather as a kid, and started listening to it again in the last few years, as I usually listen to NPR on weekend mornings. Its been broadcasting reruns for most of that time because of Toms alzheimers.

Actually they aren't repeats, but 5 years worth of new shows that were pre-recorded. It sounds like they knew he was ailing and they were planning ahead.

Doug Berman says the show will go on. I wonder if that means they will exhaust the unaired shows and then do repeats or if someone else will come in and do the show.

RIP Tom.

Loved the Car Talk radio show, the Click and Clack weekly newspaper article, and all the short TV appearances. I have followed them on Facebook for years as well. They were funny, and could teach people a lot about cars. Rest in peace Tom Magliozzi.
