It was a more streamlined Thunderbolt with an engine that was supposed to make more power and was to be originally equipped with a contra rotating propeller. Development problems kept it from being developed and put into production, but, it did record the fastest speed for a propeller driven aircraft during WWII at 505 MPH 3 Quote Link to comment
