Remins me of the helicopter pilot we hired in Montana during the Minuteman Refurbish / update and addition of the Minuteman3 squadron 20! The SOB would suddenly drop fron "normal" helicopter altitude to about 50 feet because he had spotted a coyote crawling through the brush from his "normal" 100 plus feet altitude.  He would then drop onto the poor bastard and make him/she shit the life out of it.  Nothing to say about my breakfast, I had long ago learnt my lessons!  He got bored and went back into the US Armyactive combat tours of VietNam.  If anyone made it out, he did, I have my shit pants to proove he could make it out of any VC ambush.  He told me of a "sudden" realization that had occured him in the company zone,The VC would pop up and fire on the helicopters as they were dropping off combat forces. So the helicopters simply took to drifting while dropping off troops.  Corrective action on Charlies part!  Teach the ground forces to lead the target like it was an incoming Duck.  So what happened?  He dropped off a squad, Charlie popped up, took a bead on his helicopter and took a "classic" forward lead and fired off a few rounds, enough for the waist gunner shred his guts all over the landing zone!

Sorry if this posting "upsets" a few lilly livered readers, but this is what war is about!  It is NOT a computer game!

In adidtion to the obvious "assets"  that's a Rabinson R44 built in Torrance California.  I have the good luck to be in the usual flight path of the initial check flights of the newly built and sold aircraft!  The only thing better is the annual Air Field of the "Trainer" version of the Northrup Flying Wing Bombers at the Torrance Air Field AKA Zamperini Air Field!  Google it if that name dos'nt ring a bell!

Yak painted like a Tony.

Winner! Winner! Chicken Dinner!

Yak 9 in temporary Japanese when it was owned by a gentleman in Japan. The bird is now in Germany and in proper Russian colors.

Must admit, it looked cool as a Japanese impostor
