hobospyder
flat panel needs a new gasket but it's in there to keep bugs/animals and water out with the old gasket as best it can. threw a tarp over him before i left the shop for the night as well 3 Link to comment
hobospyder
been a couple months since this thread has been bumped. been even longer since toolbox has seen daylight that isn't through windows and then i finished cleaning the shop and pushed him back in. pulled a tire to check out the brakes and because i can't decide whether i like the rims enough or not but they work good as rollers when properly aired found this which ain't doing anybody any good oh and this which is hidden by living room carpet and managed to make this much of a mess trying to beat the drum loos it was fun though. except for finding out there there's some serious cancer underneath this guy 4 Link to comment
distributorguy
By the way the body lines don't line up on the passenger side (box to cab) I'd look at the inside of the frame, right above the RR front spring mount. That spot has a tendency to trap dirt and rust from the inside out. Link to comment
hobospyder
Yeah I been looking at that too, was hoping it was just the floor pan was shot. This truck might get parted out instead of what I wanted to do with it. Sucks I can't get him back on the road without spending a whole bunch of money I ain't got Link to comment

distributorguy
Its cleaner than the truck I started with to go to Bonneville, which is why I know about that frame rot issue. Once you own a welder, the sky is the limit! 2 Link to comment
