dat521gatherer
I'm looking out the window today thinking I know I didn't park crooked. Later my wife is looking out the window telling me there is green shit all over my hood. I look and i realize it's glass. FUCK. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Wow, no damage to your car? Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
Pushed it back about 5 feet or so. It came out with minor damage but I was holding my breath as I rounded the driver side. Ok maybe not minor considering this is the only car I have that was straight or never wrecked. The grill is pushed in a little ways and the hood latch is out of wack. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
No blood. It was definitely his windshield. Quote Link to comment

Laecaon
Sad. I love old Audis. Those parts are hard to find... Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Bummer. At least it is still drivable. Quote Link to comment

RatVonDude
Thats suxs, sorry to see that. Put 4 fog lights on the front and chase the dude down . Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
A before shot. Yeah body and interior parts are impossible to find even on ebay and the forums don't support these old things. The hood gap on the passenger side has widened. I will go to the body shop tomorrow and see what bs they tell me. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The unibody has probably been tweaked. Not worth repairing, just get it looking good and the alignment checked. Quote Link to comment
Ranman72
damn that sucks your car is pretty tough Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I got my car straightened. Friend discount! $400. Bottom of the front was pushed over 3/4", top was pushed over 1" Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
At least its not a Datsun? This is my favorite of the bunch. Don't tell anyone. I had one of these 19 years ago and my wife was driving to work and someone hit her in the front end. i lost it to the towing company. I've been looking for one ever since. 1 Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
I hated the color at first but in a few weeks it grew on me. Copper metallic special order. As second owner I have all the good paperwork. 1 Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I really want an old 4000 quattro. Locking center and rear diffs! It kinda bums me out to see such rarity get hit like this. You just dont see these anymore, especially that nice (well except those hub caps...). Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
The part that really makes me mad is that I heard something last night and stared out the back yard window for 5 minutes thinking someone was trying to steal something. My dumb ass should have looked out front. At least I could have detained them or got a description of the car or something. Today I asked neighbors and I get nothing. Quote Link to comment

It has the inline 5 but is slow as dirt. Quote Link to comment
smoke
It almost seems more like side glass than a windshield, which is really weird. 1 Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
It almost seems more like side glass than a windshield, which is really weird. It may have been. There was a lot of it on the grass but it didn't look like it had a curve to it. There is scratch marks all over the clear coat on the hood. Quote Link to comment
Trophy24
The windshield would not have shattered since they are laminated. Definitely side or rear window. Too bad about the damage. That's a nice car Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
File a report and save some of the glass, get lots of pictures around the car. I don't see skid marks so some dummy backed? right into you in the dark. Maybe phone around glass or auto body shops see who is looking for a rear window. Now ask who would be reversing on your street? Friend of neighbor or lost stranger? 1 Quote Link to comment
smoke
I was thinking like a failed drift or something. Quote Link to comment
