datzenmike
520/521/620/720 springs are all the same length front to back. 720 springs will and have been fitted to 620 so at least that similar. Quote Link to comment
olderdat620
I ask because I odered a pair of Belltech 3 inch lowering springs for a 720 to put on my 620 and put the bushings thinking they were the same but apparently the center bolt hole is not in the middle of the springs I will take them off again in the morning and reverse the springs Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Most leaf spring packs are pinned forward of center if I remember correctly. Quote Link to comment
wayno
Is the center bolt ona 620 in the middle or center of the leafs or how bout a 720 cus my measurments say no? The mount position for the axle is not centered on the leafs, there is a front and back to a leaf spring on all leaf springs from 1963 threw at least 1986 as far as I know, I believe that the mount point is a few inches towards the front. I really hate having three inch blocks. Also, are these steel or composite? As the other guys have said, when I installed my blocks I found that the pin is more toward the front of the truck, not centered on the springs. Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Olderdat620 please post pictures after you get the Belltech springs installed. Quote Link to comment
Farmer Joe
if theyre pinned differently, id bet theyre for a d21 instead of a 720.. i remember yellow620 used d21 springs and had to make a custom drop block that offset the pin so it lined up like stock.. 1 Quote Link to comment
olderdat620
Ok see if this is right I put the supposedadly 720 Belteck part # 5974 rear leafs but had to make 2 by 2 inch blocks cus I wanted the truck to sit a lil lower I cut the 2by 2 blocks 7 inches long and removed the 2 short cut leafs that make for an inch in the leaf pack drilled a hole for the pin 1 inch behind center on the bottom welded a bolt for the top to center and everything dropped into place- trying to get pictures Quote Link to comment
olderdat620
by the way they are steel and are a lot stiffer which like. another question anybody ever hook up a compressor with tank for the air shokes? Quote Link to comment
Jester
You could have just put some 720 4x4 spring on your 620 and ended up with 2.5" drop. Just saying. Quote Link to comment
olderdat620
I ended with about a 5 inch drop wanna go 6 inch drop and then use the air shocks with air tank and compressor :w00t: Quote Link to comment
