yello620
[font=arial, helvetica, sans-serifam looking at having a set of steel wheels enlarged and ran across these. The idea is really cool, but my concern lies in the mod to the factory wheel center. I am very ok with the mod to the outer part of the wheel.[/background] The idea being that I could increase size from 15" to 17" or even 18" and basically any width that I want.[/background] Your thoughts!!![/background] 1 Quote Link to comment
'70dime
Do you have a link? theres a guy on stanceworks in europe doing this to OEM cast wheels. He uses BBS lips I think. I imagine as long as the center sits flush in the center without any play I would be okay with it. Link to mentioned thread. http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42940 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
I would say it depends on who is doing the mods. If you are doing it or a wheel co. is doing it I say go for it. I wonder if it is still DOT compliant though. Quote Link to comment
yello620
I found the idea right here. He only does steel wheels. Ohhh, and I have no doubt that these would not be DOT complaint. Quote Link to comment

Jester
$150 for parts and $300 for labor. Quote Link to comment
tdaaj
Sounds like a fairly decent alternative. Quote Link to comment
yello620
$150 for parts and $300 for labor. Ya, I figured they would run close to $500 for a set of four. Another $150ish to get them powder coated. I like the idea and appearance of them a lot. I don't really care if others "like" them or not. My only concern is strength............. Any chance you could share some pictures of the two piece ones?? Or maybe share what you can for a google search? I am coming up with nothing via google. I am not after just widened steelies. I want the two piece style that bolts together and increases the diameter too. The diameter increase is actually my main goal, the two piece just helps the cool factor for me. Quote Link to comment

JoeCool
They look real cool, but wouldn't it be cheaper to just get an aftermarket wheel? Quote Link to comment
