I wouldnt call that a zero scheme/theme it just has the meatball. It also has bre stripes lol, not a bre theme either though.

His would be the closest I've ever seen. And with the stencil lettering it's certainly military in theme, if not actual Japanese military.

Wouldn't the exhaust pipes have trouble clearing the brake/clutch master cylinders/ strut towers, etc?

only if you went straight out the side you could get creative with a custom dragster style header use flat pipe and curve it under the car then up and out the fender a little over kill for a look but it can be done without going threw the structure of the car

Not in the same position as the drawing. That high on the fender is the frame rail, and it is really close the skin of the fender.

Just an idea, the clutch and brakes could go internal, there is race car setups that do it all the time. Then bending the exhaust pipe around the tower could be done from 4 to 1 pipe then back to 4. Hell it wouldn't be the first time someone did something for form over function...tho I would leave it at one myself.
