DatMo
I went to eagle rock and picked up some window rubbers, a new window washer pump, and my fucking rims. I'm one happpy ass fuckin camper. Saw a lot of cool people and shit. sick ass cars. pics old: new sorry. my friend that took the pic took bad shit. this is how far the screws were and it scared me because i thought nothing would fit. then i realized i forgot to take off the spacer the past owner put. then they were this far out. I need lug nuts and tires. They're 14x6.5 +10 sadly it's not stamped on the wheel though :( I'm happy. Quote Link to comment
DatMo
So I got the lug nuts today and I did have trouble at first because I guy said he couldn't fit all four lug nuts in. But then I just realized it was because of gravity and how it caused one hole to not be centered.. I solved that and it all worked out pretty damn well. PICS. Here's the stance that I literally LOVE. This is without a spacer in the front. When i swap on the zx struts, I'm sure it will go in a bit but I can use the spacer then. Thanks a ton to all the people that I bugged and shit but helped me out. 1 Quote Link to comment
Tristin
When you switch to ZXs, it will sink the wheel in 3/4in each side. Quote Link to comment
DatMo
When you switch to ZXs, it will sink the wheel in 3/4in each side. Thanks. I wasn't sure of the exact measurement. My spacer will def do the trick once I swap. Quote Link to comment

DatMo
Decided to wrap my rear speaker shelf in some vinyl but I need to go to to Micheals and see if they have any for cheap. Quote Link to comment
DatMo
So I decided to plasti dip my rear but of course being under aged sucks and when I went to go buy some from home-depot, i wasnt old enough. Life sucks. I masked off the rear and this is what I was planning to paint. The guy before that painted my car just painted over the last layer and rust so at some spots, it'll look shitty. I was gonna try the matte black. any feedback? matte black or matalic? can't decide.... Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Gloss for sure. 1 Quote Link to comment
DatMo
So I did gloss black but my dumbass didnt realize that you cant let the spray dry with masking tape on. It looked like this. I'm excited to get up and do it correctly tomorrow. I was planning to do the sides quickly then remove tape before it dries so i get crisp sharp edges. but then it may dry, how do i do the center so it's all even? I'll figure it out. Wish my dumbass luck! haha Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Peel all the old stuff off and clean the panel. Tape it off. Spray a couple coats of plasti-dip. Wait a couple minutes. Peel off tape slowly and with even pressure. You want to peel the tape off when it just starts to set up. When you spray it, it will be pretty liquid but as it dries it will start to tack up. You want to start unmasking at that transitional phase. Then dont touch it and allow it to finish drying. 1 Quote Link to comment

I'll remask it when I need to put gloss. I dont think ill have enough time to do the dip then another 4 or 5 layers of gloss. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
I would mask and do that black. Peel away the masking and let it dry. Remask and do the clear. Peel away the masking and let it dry. Quote Link to comment

Peel away the masking and let it dry. That's what I had thought as well. I don't think the gloss sticks as the dip does but I'll def do some samples on a piece of cardboard. I got new pics of my dime and waiting for a friend to send em. I'll post pics tomorrow of how the rear turns out. Thanks 1 Quote Link to comment
jrock4224
touch the masking tape near where u started, if its stringy start un masking.......if u finger print the wetness, wait waiting for plastidip to dry is a mistake ......its claim to fame is peel it off ... and u peeled it off....looloo Quote Link to comment
DatMo
Yeah,I know. Lol,I'd rather do test examples and count to see how long it takes to dry. I don't want finger prints. If I do, I'm not gonna halfass it. Quote Link to comment
DatMo
I finished. I think I did a bad job but it'll slide. i got the idea of it and now when i redo my body, I plan to paint, There are no drips but there is a flaw. The lines themselves are not that defined. I only put four very thing coats so the transition would be prove but it's not. maybe they weren't thin enough? It looks alright but if you get a foot or less closer, you can see the undefined lines. It bugs me because i want it to be perfect but nothing is. I put 3 layers of gloss and waiting for that to dry. I don't know why but this pictures makes it seem like the closest corner is off but its the only good picture i have. anyways, a friend had to do some photography project and he decided to use me and i didnt allow it until my car was in the picture. he sent me the gayest ones but here's the only one i have so far. and i also snatched one in the meantime. Tristin
You wont get the crispest of lines right away with Plasti-dip; it will take some practice. The cars that they show are completely covered so its easier to keep nice. Bit of a shitty photo, but it looks decent. 1 Quote Link to comment

I'll see how it lasts and what not but it seems alright. Thanks. All i have is a cell phone for pics so cant get much. I'll see if i can change the pixel settings to higher. and the gloss does stick. its somewhat a clear coat that has very little gloss. nothing really noticeable until the third or fourth layer Quote Link to comment
