jastrunk97 Posted August 17, 2012 Report Share Posted August 17, 2012 I found this 620 in a abandoned house so we contacted the agent who was listing the house and he got permission from the owner to give it away so i snaged it. The owner could not find a title and did not what to write a bill of sale. I was able to get a title with a bill of sale. What year does / did the license plate expire? The reason why I ask that is if its been sitting for a while, you might be able to have someone write you a bill of sale or write your self a bill of sale, apply for a title with that. I also heard Georgia is easy to to get titles, maybe you know someone out there... Now days saying it was abandoned is bad, or at least here in Michigan. If I say my truck was abandoned, that means the state owns it and will take it. One way or another you just "purchased" the truck, never acquired it abandoned. If there is a will there is a way, there is always a way. I don't recommend doing a vin swap because it can get very ugly f you get caught. Quote Link to comment

If the truck was abandoned and the property management sold it, you should be able to get the sherrif to sign it off as abandonded and you would be able to file for the title immediately. You would wnat to call the sherrifs office and see what the recommend. I've seen it done quite a few times when a freind has bought property with vehicles on it. ...and I call all the 620's in King, Snohomish and Whatcom counties. :rofl: Quote Link to comment

jastrunk97 Posted August 22, 2012 Author Report Share Posted August 22, 2012 SO.........apparently Ahmad (the relater selling the house it was left at) had giving the truck to a different guy a couple weeks before i got the truck and that guy sold it to another guy for $1500 but the guy who sold it got stung by a bee and was in bed for a week (the same week ahmad gave us the truck) so we dont get the truck :( but we do get the honda that was also on the proprieties (with title).
