LenRobertson
I didn't see that this has been posted yet: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/05/automobiles/revenge-of-the-econobox-early-japanese-imports-find-admirers.html?hpw Nice slide show with it. I hope the article triples the value of my 200SX and F10. Len Quote Link to comment
INDY510
. Yeah,,, I never thought these cars were cool until I saw Fast and the Furious in 1998 ..... .. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Nice article. Maybe this can thrown some money towards JNC so they can put out more content and keep publishing articles. That place is hurting for money... Quote Link to comment
king bee66
Nice slide show with it. I hope the article triples the value of my 200SX and F10. Len it may be worth 300$ now :P . just joking, its would still be worth more than my car. Quote Link to comment

elmerfudpucker
"And Japanese pickups are noted for their durability; it’s not unusual to find one with 300,000 miles on the odometer." Only 300k??? Quote Link to comment
Datsun-San
Very cool article! Nice to see Jun and Ben interviewed  . Though, it'll be interesting to see whether this article gets spread around on other forums and JNC sites :hmm: Quote Link to comment
WAGON JON
Yeah, I've known this since 1991. Its awesome to drive an old Japanese car. I have had about 20 of them over the last 20 years or so. Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
I think I've had 20 of them over the past 5 years  Quote Link to comment

K_trip
Yes ... this was a nice read. Thanks for posting! I don't know about it having much of an impact on values, by itself, but if there are more stories like this around - who knows? Better yet, folks keeping the cars and trucks on the road should help values. I popped in on the Santa Clara meet at the end of January. I didn't have my Datsun, nor did I stick around longer than a cup of coffee, but it was a nice group with cool cars. I'll try to do better next month, try to do my part. I don't know about you, but seeing an old Datsun (or a Toyota) out on the road always puts a smile on my face. Honda's, not so much. Quote Link to comment

littlejason
Corolla GT-S is a gateway drug? At first I thought "I've always had an old Corolla, so what" but then I realized it's true... if it weren't for that, I wouldn't own a Datsun. Quote Link to comment
