510sAreHot
Well after many months of searching i have finally come to the perfect 510! It is a long block L20b 5sp, but the tranny is locked...? the guy said he got it fixed but it happened again so i am gonna have to fix that... it has a silly roll cage which i am gonna take out. in the craigslist posting it said it was a 69 but told my dad it was a 70,, i think im gonna have to go with 69 because i like that number needs some help pretty much all around but me and my dad are gonna get to it as soon as we pick it up Friday!! Here are a couple pictures.... i can get some more up in a little bit 2 Quote Link to comment

MicroMachinery
Wow, looks like you scored big time. That's my favorite color, in favorite body style(4dr). It looks like it has 69' fenders with a 70' dash. An SSS grill too, from the looks of it. Let's get some more pics! Quote Link to comment
KC Phirus
Sweet, damn, and sweet. IMO leave the roll cage. You know, they're good for when you roll it. But don't roll it. But in case you do you should get a roll cage. Quote Link to comment
510sAreHot
I can't get any backseats in it if i kept the roll cage though, and i also don't think i will be rolling it anytime soon Quote Link to comment
510kevin
I want your cage, I might roll mine........ Let me know if you wanna sell the cage Quote Link to comment

GUS-GUS
NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That 510 is in my area and was eye balling it for a while since the price was pretty cheap. Are you in San Jose? My 4door and I would like to see it when you go pick it up. :D Quote Link to comment
Rustina 510
Then just get a diff tranny. I would keep the cage but it's your car bro. Is it welded in or bolted? If its welded then it will be a bitch cutting out. And if you don't do it right it will be hard to re sell Quote Link to comment

RedBanner
Well done kid +4 that is a nice car, realy is , realy realy is. As for cutting the cage out, if you and your dad havnt done much metal work then id try and hook up with a local member to make shure the structual steel is kept intact . Being able to re sell the cage is still important but if you gotta hack it out... Oh well man , just dont cut the car, and look for places where some one else has cut out metal, its a good idea if you and your dad havnt done alot of classic car tinkering, take it to a shop and have them putt it up on the rack and poke the chassis for rot. Im jelly bro, give us moare oics!! 1 Quote Link to comment
Str8_69
Yes the roll cage is welded in and me or my dad have no experience with welding so idk what to do Dood, leave that cage alone and have some fun with that car! You might regret the down time and heart ache of hacking out a welded in bar. You plan on taking the family to the drive-in? No? I'd rawk that thing as-is in a heart beat. Nice score. :fu:  Quote Link to comment
510T
Nice Score! It looks like a great start. Do everything you can to get/keep it running and driving. Let me know when you pick it up, I am up the 101 in Petaluma and would love to check it out! Quote Link to comment
fisch
Sweeeeeeeeeet! I say keep the cage. You're young, right? 510s whisper to you to drive in adventurous ways. Might just save your life! This is a keeper though! Love it! Quote Link to comment
datrod
Sweeeeeeeeeet! I say keep the cage. You're young, right? 510s whisper to you to drive in adventurous ways. Might just save your life! This is a keeper though! Love it! Cool car man. But the full cage is really not good for street driven cars. It might save you or it could kill you if you hit your head on that bar. Just my 02. 2 Quote Link to comment
510-homeboy
Thats a sweet ride and from the look of it, you should keep the roll cage on it. These little cars don't need much to get into some damage, but if you do sell it let me know i have a 4 door that I would look into putting it in. 71ka510 is right though, what are backseats?... if my datsun wasn't reupholstered and almost done i would take them out I don't need people in my backseat just to scrape my tires..
