The colors seem to ” pop” more. I dig the spook more myself, but it is a sweet ride either way! I might just go back and forth when I get bored. Or until I break one on a speed bump... :) What steering angle hacks did you do? Looks pretty awesome. I shortened the steering knuckles and clearanced the lower control arms so it wouldnt bind. jdmdime
The jig daniel had to come up with to get the motor to sit at 10 degrees tilt After moving the brake lines and doing a couple mods to the back of the head you can see the motor is way back there Yep yep starting to take shape. These mounts have a cute little offset of almost 3 inches! Quote Link to comment
jdmdime
radiator test fit, motor still not bolted in so its like a test test fit. room for 2 small slim fans? Exhaust flange begining to take shape. Quote Link to comment
jdmdime
Super beefy passenger side motor mout. Got lucky and the oil filter fits. Driver's side motor mount. Back by popular demand the oreo mount (front)! Not really lol For those of you wondering why there is an extra mount in the front: It is there so that if the transmission is not installed the motor will still sit level without falling foreward. The firewall and crossmember clearance are too tight to let the motor flop foreward. The front mount is about where the stock mounts should be Quote Link to comment
jdmdime
No CNC here. This bad boy was macined by hand by the Mechanical Deviant. I like where it's going so far, can't wait till you put the FJ in there!!! I got the z with no paperwork. I bought it from an old man who couldnt drive it anymore. It didnt run. Only cyl 4,5 and 6 were firing. The tags were expired for years. I think it was like 400 in back fees. I kept the enkei 92' s, the front struts, tranny, differential, injectors, throttle body, and sold the rest. Scrapped the shell for more $$$ There is something so damn sexy about an FJ under the bonnet of a 510. I think I would have cried for real at that view! Right? I always liked them but never thought i would own one. Their so damn rare. I cant wait to drive it. Quote Link to comment

Rare yes, expensive not really. Im using a 280zx tranny, z series bell housing, 280zx clutch, ford edis ignition system. 280Zx injectors, ka24e tps, gm water temperature sensor and gm air intake temp sensor. It sounds like most the maintenance items are usdm... The only time this motor is expencive (with my setup) its gonna be when it needs a rebuild/blows... Other than that I should be ok... nice work on the exhaust, i love handbuilt shit, its truely art! Thanx again for all the compliments guys. Its finally at my house again :) Quote Link to comment

jdmdime
Nice tight clearance Oh how I would love to say this fit on the first shot......The number three tube hit the steering box. I took it out and clocked it twice. It fit on the second try, however the third clocking was just for more clearance Quote Link to comment
jdmdime
Sitting nice and low Motor mount looking good Motor is in and we have plenty of clearance Quote Link to comment
jdmdime
The high side of the pan Front shot of the oil pan Uh oh its all apart! Took the runners of the flange so they could get welded nice little bead Quote Link to comment
