cslookn
i have a front valance for a 521 pickup that was never installed, if i can get enough interest i will look at having a shop use it for a mold to make more. I have a pic but can not figure out how to add it to the comment. Chad Quote Link to comment
cslookn
for photo look at parts for sale , 620 fiberglass open page nine should have a photo of valacne held up in front of a 521 pick up Quote Link to comment
wayno
So this is a stock new(NOS) unused front valance for a datsun 521 truck, I could use at least one if not two, depending on the price. Molds cost money, I am waiting with interest, to see where this thread goes. Quote Link to comment
lil89ram50
i am also waiting. Quote Link to comment

Jester
Chad, welcome to Ratsun man. Your brother told me you had this. There are a lot of 521 owners out there that would buy them. I say just do it. Heck you can always have the mold made and order a run of 10. You will sell enough to pay for the initial investment. Just do it before you put mounting holes in yours. Guys, Chad isn't looking to sell this. He is wanting to know if anyone is interested in buying one. What he has is a BRAND NEW, NEVER INSTALLED front spoiler for a 521. He is just checking on interest. Quote Link to comment
Stretch Bolts
What do you think the cost would be? I am interested as long as it doesn't break the bank. I'm willing to pay for a good product though. Quote Link to comment
boarlin
I would be interested also Quote Link to comment
cslookn
trying again, The white spot on the front of it in the photo looks like house paint, Will clean and take better photos Quote Link to comment
cslookn
Think i have this figured out, Like i said the white spot in paint... Quote Link to comment
Hardwyre
Use carbon fiber to make the mold. It'll be much more true and durable. Quote Link to comment
wayno
Think i have this figured out, Like i said the white spot in paint... Are you sure this is a stock 521 valance? It doesn't look like the one on my 71 521. Is it made of metal or something else? Quote Link to comment
cslookn
it is Fiberglass and molded into it is 521. Now that i figure out how to add photos i will take some better pics tomorrow. Quote Link to comment

So it is a aftermarket air dam or valance, made to fit a 521. I would still be interested though, I am looking to replace my beat up stock metal valance, I was running a retread that came apart on the freeway some years back, it wasted the valance and totally beat the shit out of the pass. side floor board, it took a 7 lb. sledge to beat the floor board back close to where it was. bilzbobaggins
I shit myself a little when I saw valance....still a nice piece tho. jeff Quote Link to comment

cslookn
I dont have a 521 just a 510 that this came with for some reason. there is a pic of it being held up to a pick up at the canby show in "parts for sale"," 620 fiberglass" open page 9 and scroll down. Quote Link to comment
wildmaninid
I have been watching this thread with high hopes, but I really think this is more of a "chin" or "spoiler" than a valance. The valance is the metal trim below the core support that houses the turn signal/marker lights. However this piece is really cool, especially since it has 521 embossed on it, but ratsun I believe was hoping for a true valance. Quote Link to comment
cslookn
Well i think i have copied the pics of this Valance/airdam e photos of this valance/airdam. Quote Link to comment

Stretch Bolts
I don't know whether I am disappointed or not... It's a sweet lip, but that's not what I was looking for. Quote Link to comment
