datrod
where can i find a lowering kit for the back of my 78 corolla? I picked up a set at autozone. You should find a set at most any auto parts store. Quote Link to comment
82sunny
i did too but later took it back cause the "u" bolts were to big and too wide Quote Link to comment
Hardwyre
i did too but later took it back cause the "u" bolts were to big and too wide Were the bolts too big for the block and/or axle? Did they have any other blocks? Summit has a whole assortment of blocks, most seem designed for Chevy/Ford solid axles, but maybe something will work. Their tech support can also help you track something down. http://www.summitracing.com/search/?keyword=lowering%20blocks&dds=1 Quote Link to comment

The semi-circle has a 3-3.5 inch ID, while our H190s, have a 2-5/8? OD. Basically there is a good amount of slop. This is the kit: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Superior-Automotive-2-in-U-Bolt-lift-or-lowering-block-kit/_/N-25n2?counter=1&filterByKeyWord=lowering&fromString=search&itemIdentifier=540310_0_0_ Quote Link to comment

littlejason
Use those blocks. Bring your old U bolt to your local spring factory or 4x4 shop and say "I need a U bolt like this but # longer." Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I got a set at Canby for an H-190 and just held them with vice grips and hammered them with a 6 pounder until they matched the smaller H-165 U bolts. Worked perfectly. Quote Link to comment
