Silacone should fix that My air filter felt alittle wet when i got to work so i thought that was it, did a systems check at lunch and found a soaked cap and rotor. Quote Link to comment

bananahamuck Posted March 11, 2012 Report Share Posted March 11, 2012 So i see you have found it wasn`t the carb getting watered down ,,,but we used to cut a strip of thin roofing sheet metal the same height as filter and just sandwich it in with the top , to keep mud and rocks out. And the roundness ? of the filter gave it some stability to not just fall out... It also kinda works to keep carb from icing up ...kinda Quote Link to comment

Stainless, 45$ Aluminum = call for pricing ( its about the same as stainless) 45$ + If you have a bisness and can order 20 or more at a time from the manufacturer (stafford) they get really cheap.
