Rusty Turd - My new Goon

So another Datsun orphan has found its way to my home.

This wagon was parked by the original Owner in 1987. It was parked under a tree and over the years it sunk into the ground up to its rockers.

The car is so rusty that I named it the Rusty Turd. The mustard color helped with the name.

It has 80K miles on it and the interior is very clean.

I will be parting it out soon but I need to spend some time going over it before I take it apart. Once I fully access what is good on it, I will post a parts for sale thread.

Here are a few camera phone pics.

.

Just out of curiousity ,,,, , how far down into the earth was the front crossmember at that ride height???? ... .. .. . .. half a foot???

Front crossmember was on the ground. The tow truck driver could not get his hook under it so we wrapped it around the motor mount stand on top of the crossmember.

Dont part it, just make it a safe beater...

Dibs on the hub caps, if a reasonable ratsun price... 30?

I will take a look at the caps and see what shape they are in. If they are all nice, I will not want to break up the set though.

I have received several requests for parts in just one night. I guess wagon parts are hard to find?

Dibs claimed so far:

Rear leaf springs

Hub Caps

Glass Hatch Seal

I can fix that rust, how much for the whole car?

Well there is probably $1000 plus in good parts on it. Make an offer?

I think you should fix the safety bits, and roll it as is. There's been a lot of interest lately in running/driving rusty Datsuns.

Rustina, do you realize how far you'd have to tow that thing home?

I will not be rolling in it. Too far gone for me.

I was just stating i only needed 2. I will take all four tho, if they are in my price range. Wagon parts aren't too hard to find, really..
