L-Series downpipe flange, 3/8" steel $20 shipped

Recommended Posts

I got asked to do the CAD work and have one of these made by someone. It took me so long to get to it, they had the exhaust work done by a shop. I finished up the CAD work and submitted it with the brake kits. I love how they came out!!!! These can be used to repair or create a downpipe for an L series engine. I made ad a bit more to this, but it's way, way past my bed time!!! smile.gif

As the title says....$20 shipped. pm me for paypal address or visit my site... www.bluehandsinc.com to buy them

Those look very nice, sure could have used one a couple years ago when my exhaust was done.

yep....exhaust shops can do all the pipe work...they just can't typically make this plate.

Mike, I'll support the cause, I'll take two!

You are talking about the downpipe flange....right?

..hhmmm....that got me thinking....the second one will only be $15 since there won't be any additional shipping. If anyone wants more than 2, I'll go $10 on each one for 3 and above. :)

Thanks! :)

...edit.....it was pointed out that it looked like ordering 3 would be $30.....so I'll clarify....or at least try to :) ..... The 3rd one and any additional would be $10. I can't imagine someone wanting to order more than 2.... :)

Make one for the part that goes on the head!!!

Seriously....I thought someone was already making these. I can do it if there's enough interest, but I'm guessing it would be somewhere in the $50-65 range. I'd probably want to see some serious interest in them before I spend the time on the CAD work to even get a quote. I probably wouldn't even start on it until my water jet guy comes back online. Gets real spendy to pay the minimum at the laser cutter when prototyping. I did 3-4 different versions on the 1200 brake brackets before I got it exactly right.....that would have been about $200 in laser cutting. Anyway.....I'm not saying I won't do one, but it would be way down the list unless there's a huge amount of interest. :)

I'd pay 60-70 shipped all day long. Not really anymore, but definitely 60-70.

Regarding the flange at the head, i thought that a buddy of Icehouse's had done a run of them and i also think that one of the canadian guys did a run also. (Drives down to canby with Byron, green turbo car. 510rob?).

Seems silly for several people to have to do the CAD work to get these cut.

You are right. I've been pm'ing with Rob about it. I need to get back with him......it sounds like they're still available and the guy will cut them.....just need to find out contact info and such. There's no point in me being involved, so i'm not sure who's going to post up how to get them.

Hi,

The green 510 is owned/built by my good buddy James. I helped James build a few small items on the car.

The flanges Icehouse(Jeff) had Jesusno2 cut were made from (essentially) the same drawing I gave to Aaron Weir --> www.weirtech.ca <-- who runs a specialized business of selling flanges to guys like us who make stuff. Aaron joined Ratsun under user name weirtech

cross-pollination of similar posts --> http://community.ratsun.net/topic/30194-wtb-exhaust-flange-l20/page__st__20

So, there you go. If you need a U67 flange, get one from Aaron.

Awesome! Thanks for posting that Rob. I've pm'd him to see if he also does the round port....since a lot of guys have L20's. He's got a cool website...I hope he gets it back up and running.

Mike

Some how I missed this thread and subject.

You make these now????????

This is great.

I think you should ,of coarse as a hobby. make a 510 speficic Y pip for the 510 manifold. that goes to a 2 inch pipe. Maybe like a stort tube header in case soempople really slam there car but with enought room in case a l20 goes in and raises the Y pipe.

Be nice if you had a 510 to ck this out and also ck the seering as I seen soem headers hit the idler arm or what ever it is at full turn.

also a 620 truck spec one using the L16 manifold (make a bend for the torsion bar)

I seen a guy make a Y pipe but it was on the fly and not to fancy as harder to do on the car. than on a nice workbench

Might be up for it later, but way too much on the plate right now. I'm thinking if I do make one, I want to keep it fairly short and tight to the eng. That way, guys can take that piece to the exhaust shop and have their exh attached to it. I'm not too interested in make 3 or 4 different ones to cater to all scenarios. If I can figure out one that will work....sweet.....otherwise, there's a guy in Canada that may be up for it. :)
