DREWSDIME
I have a 1968 510 and I need to replace the ball joints. I have brand new ball joints already for a 1970-73 510 but they are bigger than the 68 ball joints. Can I just swap control arms? I have a extra set of 70-73 control arms that I can use. Icehouse
I just swapped later control arms onto my 68, the ball joint taper is different. you will need to find later steering knuckles but the later LCA's have better bushings. Quote Link to comment
INDY510
. I think 68-69 are 11mm and 70-73 are 14mm .... .. . the steering arms will need to be changed also ...... ... .. it'd be cheaper to just get new ball-joints Quote Link to comment
