Bleach
Must have been other issues before that. If you're going to lose your house anyway what does burning it do? Why kill the wife? He was crazy to begin with before losing the job. Too bad Quote Link to comment
Z-train
Everyone has a breaking point. The government just increased our flood insurance $2600.00 per year even though we live in the mountains and our property hasn't flooded...EVER.And this was the day after a story appeared in the news that the Federal flood insurance program was in the red. Be interesting to know the real story as opposed to the one that will be published. Quote Link to comment

He was crazy to begin with before losing the job. Too bad Well the wife had cancer. No money or insurance to cover the cost. She was going to die right? The house was going to get taken away... Why not have a cheap cremation for the two? Sounds like a good idea to me. 3 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Did his wife have a choice in this I wonder? If he was half way round the bend he may have decided for her..... and that's wrong. Sometimes it's all just too much. To see everything you have lived for gone or to be taken away. Maybe he thought he was doing her a favor. Despair, like derangement, can lent itself to such thoughts and acts. Who knows? Quote Link to comment
Burabuda
police have found two bodies. here's a news excerpt: "At 2:34 p.m. Saturday, deputies got a call from a man who said he was going to kill his wife, burn his house down, shoot anyone who interfered and then kill himself. Records show the home belonged to Michael Cour, 60, and Janice Gervais, 70. They have lived in the home since 2000. A blaze fully engulfed the home in about an hour and ammunition could be heard exploding inside by deputies. Neighbor Ruth Taloza said that Cour had come over earlier Saturday to drop off an air compressor, and her friend said she could smell gasoline. When Tazola went back to thank Cour through his open garage door, he said he and his wife were both laid off, were going to be evicted after being denied for a lower loan rate and his wife had cancer. The fire broke out about a half-hour later in the garage." from what i've read, most bloggers are not sympathetic to what the guy did Quote Link to comment
