dat521gatherer
My summer shades mini bungied to the door handles. Works way better than anything you stick on the inside of the glass. 4 Quote Link to comment
mrbigtanker
Coming out very nice. I love it. It's amazing how just cleaning old parts can turn in to a work of art. Bravo 2 Quote Link to comment
Osoi
Jesus... where'd you come up with the radiator? It looks like you used your paint/finishing skills on whatever you picked up. Also looks like you did something similar to the cylinder head too? 1 Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
The valve cover was powder coated thanks to Jrock and I got lucky finding the radiator sitting on the shelf at performance radiator that someone never paid for. Then I sprayed it with some rattle can vht gloss black from O'rielly's. 1 Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
I got around to replacing my vent box today. What a pain in the ass. 2 Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
I put this together to vacuum out the dirt behind the opening. 1 Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
Getting the top screws started ended up being a nightmare. I got one but trying to get them in straight without little kid hands was worse than getting the carb nuts off a smogged 210. I ended up re tapping all four holes as they were super tight. 4 Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
Of coarse my vent boot looked like shit so I reached into my stash to find the next worse one to use. Someone really needs to repop these. I chose to use the second one. As soon as I started putting it in it crumbled in a couple spots so I taped it up. The tape wouldn't stick because I just sprayed them all with 303 aeroapace. 2 Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
Defrost tubes were cracked too so I taped them up. 2 Quote Link to comment

Stoffregen Motorsports
Everything is looking like shit. Get a brass brush from a welding supply store and use it to clean the junk off. Fine steel wool works too. If you're gentle enough, you can remove the scale without leaving any scratches and what you'll end up with is a nice patina without the corrosion. 2 Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
I bought a 411 sss cluster that was pretty rough. It cleaned up better than I thought it would. Good enough to use the face from it. The speedo was seized and the rear housing had some extra brackets so instead of cutting them off I just swapped the gauge face into my cluster. 2 Quote Link to comment
wayno
They should have all been made that way, but then they would not be special. 2 Quote Link to comment

dat521gatherer
They should have all been made that way, but then they would not be special. I agree. That cleaned up nicely good job, Did my 520 a couple years ago. Did you upgrade to LEDs yet? I did on my other 521 but forgot that I hadn't so when I get some extra cash I'll put some in. On a side note the 9 led cool white for my dome light has been discontinued.https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/ba9s-ba7s/ba9s-led-bulb-9-smd-led-tower-ba9s-retrofit-car/9/67/ Wow looking real good. Darkrider
Great looking truck so far! Just a question though about the fuse panel. Is that the main one that controls the entire truck? Not familiar with these lil trucks yet hence why i ask. 1 Quote Link to comment

mrbigtanker
Looking good. Powder coated ? 1 Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
Yes. I wish I would have started doing that a long time ago instead of cheap aerosol cans. I'm thinking about breaking up all the black with a matching green dash pan along with a black metal dash cap like the 520's had. 1 Quote Link to comment
