Josh K.
Thanks guys. Talked to a skilled restoration guy I worked with and he suggested welding nuts to what's left of the bolts. This worked perfectly even on flush ones..all three are out :) One side is done... 4 Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
Core support is done. Valance is done beside some light hammer work. Test fit everything. Now to move back into the engine bay and finish up for paint! Over riders will come off the bumper. 2 Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
The over riders would certainly give it more of a "sleeper" look. :) Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
I might keep them. We'll see :) Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
Don't get me wrong......I don't care for them and they should def come off if the car gets bodywork and paint.....but, while ratty......... :) Quote Link to comment
fisch
Great work Josh! Amazing how you got that intercooler in there with such stealth. Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
;) More metal work..lots of metal work to be done.... The horn Mount had a nut plate on the backside. Was little rusty and would come back to haunt me later... Its gone now. Filled some holes also. Now I'm at the strut towers and moving rearward! 2 Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
Gents, What is the hole on the right and why do I have a hood rubber adjuster/bumper hole on the passenger side of the core support but not the driver side? Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
Never mind. The hole I thought was for the bumper is where the fuel filter hung. Found a pic that shows the bumpers in the two inner holes. This correct? I believe this is Tyson's car? 1 Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
Does anyone have a spare one of these they can hook a brother up with? I need one in a bad way! 1 Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
metric? If so, any 620 should have one. I'll try to remember to look tomorrow to see if I have an extra. 1 Quote Link to comment
moath
Does anyone have a spare one of these they can hook a brother up with? I need one in a bad way! I think I just got an imperially threaded tee from Summit or somewhere and bent up new lines. Metric on one side of the hard line, imperial on the other. 1 Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
Needs to be 10mm on all three sides. One side typically is for a soft line. Other two hard lines. All the ones I can find online are bubble flare... 1 Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
I already have a metric stainless braided line that needs to plug into or I'd do like you did. 1 Quote Link to comment

Many people have added them (I prefer F#$& ones..) Plentiful in the junkyards. 2 Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
Haven't seen one like this before.....looks kinda nice.... http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS+Performance+Products/555/63076/10002/-1 2 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
My 86 720 has one one the driver side inner fender well under the master cylinder. That is one thing that I get when I find them in the junk yard. I will look and see if I have any extra. Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
Charlie, lmk. Nobody has popped up with one yet. I need this piece to finish my front brake lines :) Guys, what is the slot on the left? I'm assuming its for the hood latch release cable for the right hand drive model? I wanna weld it up so wanna make sure ;) Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
Sorry...I looked and I don't have any extra blocks. I'm pretty sure the slot is to hold the hood release cable. There's one on each side for left and right hand drive versions. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Yep, like just like there are 4 holes for wiper arms even though only 2 are used. Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
Its welded up :) All the welding is done in the engine bay. Just need to punch holes for the quick disconnect bulk head connector for my engine harness and the throttle cable. Then its under the car and onto the transmission tunnel and floorboards. q-tip
This thing is going to be super clean......once its done... :D Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
Tell me about it.... That's why I'm going front to back. It feels good to finish things instead of creating more :) I'm not too excited about redoing the shift boot area of the tranny tunnel. Shouldn't be too bad though. Quote Link to comment
q-tip
I just beat the hell out of a piece of aluminum and rivited it to the tunnel, it eventually self clearanced what still hit. Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
You must've built the one that was on there before ;) Quote Link to comment
