On that '69 dash note, I was able to save the glovebox, which is in pretty good condition, with locking mechanism, and ash tray. I'm also bringing the c pillar vents from that car since they're different from the '71, and the window regulators/glass, and door lock mechanisms, all complete. Quote Link to comment

The glove box latch I have doesn't actually lock, but it has a push button. The hole in the glove box is big enough for a lock cylinder, and there is a little tiny 5mm screw hole below it, but the locking mechanism is just the push button. It bolts on to the underside of the dash structure, the glove box cover has a little d ring that it engages, just like a mini door lock. But no actual keyed lock button. Anyway, still cool and the dash is different than the '71, maybe 68-69 specific, not sure. You can take a look at Canby, see what you think it's worth. Quote Link to comment

If one's gotta have every option known to Dat, a glovebox lock is great! But I look at it like this: if somebody really wants my $#!t, they already got past the doorlock~ and a glovebox lock is just something else for them to break.
