Bleach
Run Spybot on your computer http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html It will set up a huge website block list and usually protect you from things like this before they even have a chance to get in. Quote Link to comment

I usually have no problems found... although I stay off the Asian sites ;) Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Good shot!!! Immunize? Not sure so maybe not , what's involved? Quote Link to comment
Shonuff
i sure hope nobody is browsing the net on their computer administrator accnt. if you are create a new user accnt with limited access. and go download malwarebytes http://www.malwarebytes.org/ you'll have to download and install it in the administrator accnt. but that and spybot(x3) should fix you right up. ppeters914
The other good freebie is SpywareBlaster. However, you can't just install it and forget it. You need to manually run the update at least once a month, though weekly is best. That said, anyone who is STUPID ENOUGH to click on one of those emails or popups deserves whatever happens to them. Stupidity should be painful. Quote Link to comment

I went to an AutoCAD forum a few months back and got a virus that took me out of the drawing game for a while. Sadly, all I was looking for was a shortcut command. Took me 3 days to recoup... :o Quote Link to comment
