inline4
where do you guys have yours? I'm gonna need to figure out a place for them. I kind of don't like the rear tail panel being the spot for it... Quote Link to comment

510six
If you relocate your battery to the trunk and plan on drag racing the car a battery cut off switch is mandatory.Removing one of the licence plate lights provided an ideal location for the cutoff switch, as far a "lug" goes the terminals from the switch work great, as they should be #0 wire. Plus, having the cutoff switch makes any electrical work on the car easier as shutting off power is just a turn of a switch. Quote Link to comment
yellowdatsun
X2 ^^ with 510six, the license plate light is an ideal spot for the switch, no new holes to drill in the body. Also from having just recently put my wiring back together I can also say it's awesome to have for doing electrical work. Quote Link to comment
hang_510
jump start lugs? since its not a track car, i have mine behind the pass seat, so I can access it from the drivers seat. keyed switch for antitheft. :) Quote Link to comment
bonvo
put it somewhere easy to get to but out of sight like under the dash that way it serves 2 purposes easy battery disconnect and antitheft Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
Datsport has a full kit but you can make this also http://www.madelectrical.com/catalog/tm-1.shtml Quote Link to comment
hang_510
you can make this also thats more to isolate the battery, important for trunk mounted batteries, rather than disconnect(switch off) it from the system. Quote Link to comment
SRSANDS
Anyone running a motor set using a ECU....Why would you want to cut battery power? This would reset and and or cut the memory from your ecu causing problems or codes. Why not a fuel pump cut off? Smaller gauge wire to lug and attatch, and makes more sense Quote Link to comment
HRH
A battery cut is required for some racing events. Drags in particular. It's so there is no possibility of spark in the event of a wreck, which could lead to fire. I haven't seen any ECUs that can't take a disconnect, then reconnect. Maybe GM junk, but not Japan. It's all hard-wired. Just another off switch. Quote Link to comment
