I am interested in seeing what everyone has done here so list the specs on your best build.

 

Mine was my 71 510

my 510 specs were as follows:

1971 pl510 4 door

L20b bored to fit 280zx pistons

U060 head with L7 cam

280 zx manifold cut and rewelded to fit

200sx injection hardware and computer

redline was 7600rpm

dogleg 5-speed

r160 suby viscus with 3.9 ratio

4 wheel disks 810 front maxima rear

1" sway bar front 3/4" rear

KYB front shock no name gas rear

full cage

5 point belts

wheels 16x7" american eagle 5 stars with 215/40/16 tires

aero = lipped airdam kamei rear wing

fresh L28et (F54 block/P90 head)

Z31 T3 turbo

240SX 60mm throttle body

full 2.5in exhaust

Ya I mean that's why I ask, I need a cheap temp solution. I really don't feel like shelling out 100+ for a noisy walbro just to run a stock set up.

 

So thats 2 fuel components that work from a turbo supra. The injectors are good too.

1 - 77 280z,

455 buick, th400,

3.7 r2oo, 11.6 at 118 1/4 mi on 14" tires i found in the garbage.

stock brakes:blink: i have them, but can't fit 280zx's behind 13" wheels!

winter project: max-effort L18, long crower rods, 14:1, .620" cam...good times.

2.8L with an N42 head full port 510 lift cam

triple webers

3" exhaust with a supertrapp

clutch master stage 3

aluminum flywheel

280zx trans

438 quaffe diff R180

adjustable suspension: camber plates on top,

with my own hand made control arms. :D

16X10" custom made kodiac race wheels 3 pc.

265-50-16 kumo 710's

carbon bumpers & fender flairs.

full cage. 2 seats and a steering wheel.

fibreglass dash with a oil & heat gauge.

since i havent fully completed anything datsun yet thats too impressive, my best build has been my '86 mazda b2000. im going to easily beat it though with some of my current projects.

This is my full tube frame 1972 Datsun 510 racecar that I built form the ground up, frame included.

 

It has way too many alternate parts to list, I'll list what is original 510, it is pretty short and just show you some pictures.

:o All I can say is WOW!!! :thumbup: THAT'S FRIGGIN' SWEEEEEET!!! :thumbup: This the most professional 510 race car build I've ever seen. APPARENTLY MONEY WAS NO OBJECT!!! I'd kill for a 510 race car that well engineered and built. I'd cry like a baby though when someone hit me and tore it up . lol
