tnip
talking to spiff tonight i remembered this thai body parts company that i looked at a year ago when i had a 620. has anybody used them or heard stories (good or bad) about this company? main page: http://www.stautopart.com 620 parts: http://www.stautopart.com/showpro.php3?brand=Datsun&model=620&year1=1972&year2=1979&cat=Pick-Up&m=0&n=20 Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
The bad I heard was that shipping was 5X the part cost. Quote Link to comment
Greiggy
i got a quote not long ago from them for a complete rear tub assembly, worked out to be around $1300 AUD including shipping ( not customs charges) to the brisbane dock.. from there i had to organise my own freight Quote Link to comment
Bleach
yup, get your shipping quote before you decide if its a good deal. Consider a 2 month wait on parts and you'll need to pick it up from a coastal shipping port. Quote Link to comment
Guest DatsuNoob
Damn.. Bleach, you got 5 cars? How in the hell do you pull that off living in an apt complex? Quote Link to comment
Guest DatsuNoob
I got 2 and sometimes find parking difficult Quote Link to comment
Bleach
I live in an apartment complex.... unlimited parking :D Actually, the 4Runner and Pulsar are parked offsite and I'm going to sell them soon. So only 3 at my complex and one is in my garage I rent. Quote Link to comment
DOM
I bet someone would consider buying a container load of their Thai Datsun truck parts, if Datsun truck guys in the States whould actually pay what a part is worth without throwing a fit. I'm just messing. Maybe if you guys got a group buy together you could make it worth while. I personally do not have a 620, but if they made 510 parts I would be on the plane already to make a deal. KA620
speaking of panels, has anybody here made their own carbon fiber door panels by any chance? I know the red 620 that was at JCCS with the volks had carbon panels but just wanted to see if anyone else has done it. Im going to be getting my sheet of carbon sometime this week to make my own as well. Quote Link to comment
