  1. I just checked the diameter of the cylinder walls of the block hessinben let me borrow. It measured around 85.04mm give and take some .01 here and there. No scratches that I can feel or see. Gonna hone it and install some new rings... I read in the l20b manual. 85.000mm to 85.050mm is standard... Not bad!!!!
  2. Look carefully at this pic... See the extra holes for the mount bracket positioning? In the passenger side, it also has an extra set of holes. I took this engine of a 720. Is it possible to use a z series 5 speed trans on this engine with Z22 engine mounts? Were these L20b's slanted like the Z series engines? I just looked at a 79 engine l20b engine. And its does not have these extra holes... Thanks!
  3. O damn! I got props from Mike, YEAHHHHHH! Well update time. Guess what? My engine be dead yet again. My third engine to be exact. I don't give up! But fuck man. I swear some people these days just don't care anymore about their businesses anymore. No love, no quality, no nothing. I dont recommend A.L Cams in Los Angeles California. Well some have seen the pics of the current engine block. I decided to take her apart for the simple reason that she acted really funky on cold start up. Well glad I did as you can see... Today I had more time and took of everything except for 8 bolts. I would like to have an engine hoist ready before I take off the transmission bolts since it would be easier. I also organised my bolts and not put them in a bucket like before. This is how I used to do things... And i still do! I need to clean that Garage tomorrow. Kindly Hassinben traded me his old block. Great great block. I will do the rebuild myself with some help of the internets, friends, and books. Thanks! Gonna start cleaning parts, garage, engine removal and painting, tomorrow. As you can see I also added a puke tank from a 79 620. I converted it to fit on the fire wall. Its like it was made for her. Thanks alot again Ben!
  4. My job was horrible. So HORRIBLE that I decided to call it quits and left on the 15 of this month. Fuck my old job! I was not going to be submissive to a older fatter balder gay guy. FUCK YOU MAN! Sending me home and talking shit. I don't give a fuck. Fire me! Common! Do it! You cant, that is right. You needed me. Now rot mother F! Any who man, good luck. It is up to you what to do. I decided to change since I was not liking were my life was heading. I paid all my bills and depts and quit my job. I like cars and arts and all that but what is most important right now is you. That is what I forgot and I started to kiss ass and beg. So what is best for you? A girl who wants to break up with you? A job that is giving you problems? or both. I highly recommend that you look for a new job and move on. Do you think that ass hole is going to stop snitching on yah as u push on and "hope" that you get another promotion? Fuck that... Make a plan, Pay your dues, save some cash, and move on... While you make a plan. Things might get better. If not... Then at least you have an escape route....
  5. That hard body has the real volks? I thought they be Konigs. COOL!

  7. Call me crazy. But I always wanted a three door car. One door on the driver side to look cool. And two on the passenger side. For the kids and wife and stuff... No? Like a 4 door chevelle converted into 3 or a 510 or something...
  8. ... In second though. I might buy these wheels?
  9. I think dodge durango have a different bolt pattern than nissan 6 lugs. Common man...
  10. NISSAN 521 PICKUP 1972 NISSAN 620 PICKUP (1972 - 1979) NISSAN 720 PICKUP (1980 - 1986) NISSAN 810 (1978 - 1980) NISSAN D21 PICKUP (1986 - 1993) NISSAN D21 PICKUP XE 1994 NISSAN PICKUP SE (1996 - 1997) NISSAN PICKUP SHORT BED XE (1995 - 1997) NISSAN PICKUP XE (1995 - 1997) These all have the same part number. I am guessing yours is a 71 and older type.
  11. It looks similar to a 620 one. I will ask my parts shop and let yah know tomorrow.
  12. WOW! NICE! I tried that with brother. Took apart something in hopes he finish it up. NOPE!
  13. No. I will do that today since I have no choice. I am going to rebuild her anyway.
  14. I will send it in for a short block re-build. I can take care of everything else. Thanks!
  15. I didnt do it. Some re-builder guy did. I just ran it till something was not felling right no more. I just paid. Didnt feel right. Checked the timing and the teeth were off by 3. So I did the timing. Ran it for a year and a half and overheated. Then I took of the head for a new gasket to find this. The block still rebuild-able? In other words. Can I install bigger pistons and new rings?
  16. Bore and oversize. It says .50 on the piston.
  17. Cant I just sand paper that glaze out? Or do I take off the pistons for damages?
  18. #1 has a small scratch. #2 & #3 has scoring/glazing #4 ok. After the head gasket "tighten" incident. It over heated twice. It was supposedly rebuild like less than 20k ago. What do yah think? hone it out with rings? Or run this bitch as is?
  19. There is a small scratch on piston one. like an inch from top to bottom. A thin one...
  20. I am honestly clueless. My engine was sounding like shit the past couple months. That is why I decided to "re-tighthen" the head bolts. I opened her up today. And this is what I found. Is this ok? What should I do? ring job and hone? Short block rebuild? Run it? Ideas?
