  1. Stock l20b produces 100 hp (75 kW) in 1981 form with 112 lb·ft (152 N·m) Sooooo... The l20b has more Hp and about the same torque..... Plus the gas engine you can rev it higher. I would just like it for the intake and exhaust manifold...
  2. You guys are way behind. He was on here asking for advice... http://community.ratsun.net/topic/13245-help-to-id-an-engine/
  3. I got the cable and the linkage for the carb pretty much new. Let me know!
  4. I am going to run this. Price is not bad... I will run it hard. THANKS YALL! http://www.jegs.com/i/Comp-Cams/249/1590/10002/-1
  5. Makes me wonder. With 30k do you get an intake, head, special timing assembly, headers, and all that crap? Like carbs, hoses, blah blah? If its just a head. dang... That is expensive!
  6. NICE! Glad you got it done. How does the difference feel? You know, being dialed in...
  7. I think I will use regular motor oil with some zinc additive. And push it kind a hard. I never push it over 5k anyways.

  9. If its has the api sml for newer engines. I think it should be ok.
  10. How does Valvoline 30 weight sound like? Diesel oil at the stores now come at lower "diesel saving" weights.. 15w30 fine?
  11. Cool. I will return the non detergent back then...
  12. I kind of am depending on how it comes out... Your work looks superv so far.
  13. I just bought some non detergent motor oil 30 weight. But I read this type of oil is for really old cars. Pre 1960 and stuff. So what is best? Detergent motor or non for a proper engine break in? Also! What is best? Take it easy on the engine during break in or just plain racing in. Reading online and many people have different ideas. Not much on L series and Nissan engines though. I also bought Zinc Additive. Should I add this during engine break in? I want to add it for the cam. I also read that Rotella 15w30 is also a good engine break in oil. Any advice is greatly appreciated... Thanks!
  14. Are you kidding me? You sign the paper! They wont know...
  15. There is nothing "racing" to that z other than the header and probably "built" aluminum head. If no rust I would say no more than a 4K car.... The head can have Stainless steel valves. But you wont know unless you take it apart. I dont know how your state. But cali dont require smog tests. check the compression. If its all even. I would run it as is.. Just do a tune up and add oil when needed. I would still like to know his asking price. It could really be not worth it... That dash is reallly clean... Its looks pretty clean overall. Just neglected. .................................................................................... Ohh... Then maybe.... An engine rebuild would cost around 2k? But who knows what else it might need. rebuild the carbs, etc etc etc... It adds up... ................................................................................... I am not a z guy. Maybe some one with more Z experience can chime in...
  16. Stainless Steel head.... What year is the car? What is the price? Pics...
  17. Vice grip that fucker out. Or you can chicle it out but shit might go inside the block...
  18. MUAHAHAHAHAHAH! AAAAA.... HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! Read this thread... http://community.ratsun.net/topic/22858-wtb-521-trans-mount/page__p__322591__fromsearch__1#entry322591 Good luck... New or custom. I figured poly 240sx or generic GM mount Or new! 102$ http://www.new-datsun-parts.com/datsun-pickup-parts.html They still make replacements in RUshhia and Korea... Nissan Part # 11320-28000 Find some cheap... Let us know...
  19. I like this one better. Just get an out of commission plates and I would feel like James bond and shit.
  20. It could be that the flange could be hitting the trans. Causing a bad seal. Causing it to malfunction down to road....
  21. The guy just cut off the tube and cut the "green" inside bar in 4 places. The red dots are the u joint's. And the orange dot was the support bearing. The support bearing was welded to the frame shock mount....
  22. I would like to see how it comes out. I seen a guy install a Chevy v6 in his 620... I reallllllly did not like what he did to his column shaft to get that extra clearance... He had like 3 to 4 u joints and it just look rather sloppy for something rather important.
  23. If that mod gives us 620 owners more engine room. I am interested. :D
