  1. Don`t heat the lines. But yeah the better the bender the easier it is to get tighter bends.
  2. So are we going to see the wagon out and about before you move?? I can picture you zooming over the Manette bridge with a big ass grin on yer face ..
  3. Sorry it lightly snowed and i did this...
  4. My TV seems to be saying it`s snowing in that area tonight ..........Is it?? but it was king5 and i usually wait for Steve Pool to tell what the real weather will be.
  5. Yeah, I was thinking that it`s aboot times teh snows don`t cha know. This way if i have to goes off to somewheres else to picks up a two-four in the snows i should have no problems Eh?
  6. Traded out my wide summer tires for some slightly skinnier winter type tires today. Now i can put fattys in a undisclosed location known only to a associate of the firm Ernst and Whinney..And this way i dont have to wash off wheels every frickin day to keep them from becoming a mess ...Although my wife calls it a nerd mobile with the Skinnier wheels ,,To that i say " So what who cares " My son getting ready for test drive Little bit of dog-doo in tire that i like to use instead of lead weights to balance tires, because being environmentally responsible is up to all of us.
  7. Except they might be able to outrun the bullets.. And hard to hit when they turn themselves invisible.
  8. I have no idea.......but if you use google just type what your thinking for your project, and put Ratsun at the end you`ll be amazed at what you find...And open yer wallet cuz there`s gonna be some spending going on all up in here.. Like.. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/27666-burleighs-ka-210-sedan-build/ and this from 1200.com http://datsun1200.com/modules/mediawiki/index.php?title=KA_Engine_Swap
  9. I think H2theizzo has some 1600 bearings for sale ( cheep ) if your crank looks salvageable..Getting threads fixed at machine shop wont be as expensive as new ( used ) engine but if engine has knock you guys might be throwing good money away. There was a 1800 on beaverton craigslist that a guy thought was peanut head and wasn`t so he was selling as whole for $150. i have # but it was a few weeks ago.. Oil filter press having dirt or tiny chunks of metal in it could cause metal to be thin in one or more spots , then it`s just a matter of time before it geysers..
  10. Do you mean the hexagonal thing with a wire sticking out below choke ???I might have a few of those laying around if you think you could use them..And i have quite a few junk carbs so if you need something off one im pretty sure i have it. But knowledge about how those things work , not so much. Obviously you should get more advise on matter first.. Found this picture..on some thread http://i161.photobuc...ag/101_0100.jpg

I know but, sometimes you need to just let it go.

Being pissed off shortens yer life.. Being happy makes you live longer.

  12. I thought size was optical illusion... So if your not gone forever.....Tell us how does such a rare car come into your possession, way out in Missoula Mt .And please feel free to blabber on cuz im pretty interested, in the story. And spell check was absolutely no help in spelling Missoula.
  13. Welcome ...... So i know nothing of these cars , so, is it skinny like a 320 or is it wide enough to fit three abreast in seats? In the pictures it looks wide but just curious.
  14. And don`t forget the rear window metal .....toast
  15. I know this guy that has a 71 that you could probably get for a bit less than $1000. He might even trade for Datsun parts..
  16. Man, you guys are some early birds. ... Should have my skinny winter wheels on by then , although I couldn`t even stay out in the garage today long enough to wait for compressor to fill up.. so we`ll see
  17. Not quite acclimated to the cold weather yet .Dreading the end of The Price is Right.

      "The price is wrong, bitch."

  18. To be honest , the problems i have encountered have been keeping the hood down at speed and not keeping it up when stopped. But do it and take pictures for us.
  19. I believe hardweird was just yanking somebodies chain for the lulz.
  20. I pretty sure they are roadster wheels here are a set on my brothers car.. and yes they came with the cast aluminum spinners we just chose not to run them. The offset is such he can`t lower car , in rear , any more than in picture, but if your not thinking of lowering car much they are pretty sporty.....195/60/14 tires My friend who gave them to us was VERY into roadsters And also the NOKOF spinners fit the superlite wheels we have too just the base of tower is bigger on the superlites.
  21. So does any of the pans ( that are useable with no mods ) have front sump ?? Maybe have you crossmember cut and rewelded like the KA guys do. I know some of the info you posted probably mentions it but im kinda OCD at times. I see now......the pan on the left is the pan on the right in second picture..and can see that original pan was front sump ..I think..
  22. Older 510s ( the type you know as 510 ) are rear sump, trucks are a middle-ish rear ... my sons 79 510 is that newer squared off style. I have no dealings with 610s though
