Hey guys, I'm wanting to polish my valve cover on my A15. I'm a total noob to metal polishing, so is there anything I need to know specifically? What kind of compound do I need to invest in that would work well? And also, what do I need to do about sealing it to keep it from rusting?

Personally, I think you should just upgrade to a mechanical gauge. I've never heard of one failing and they are fairly easy to set up. HOWEVER note that any kit you buy you will also have to buy a metric kit to screw into the block separate. Most gauge kits don't include metric parts unless that's what the gauges were designed for. (Personal experience)

They definitely look like the brakes and hubs on my Sunny. Mine just appear to be a bit smaller. Hard to tell. I'll go look for any kind of markings on them tomorrow for identifying.

Not mine, but essentially the same. The video car has an A15 with an electronic dizzy, a Weber 32/36 and a CherryBomb. I'm in the process of doing the same setup on my B310. You have an A15, so if you match all the mods you will get the same sound :) I got the dash out of a 1st gen RX7 for my B310 :P They look beautiful

It's strange, it seems to be running quite well above idle. I almost want to say that it's getting too much gas at idle. Perhaps a fault in the ECU? Have you considered running by Nissan and having them run diagnostics on the ECU? Usually it's done no charge. My mom's minivan had a problem where the ECU was saying the camshaft position sensor was bad, but everytime you replace it it would still run like shit with a check engine light. If you unplugged the sensor it would go into limp mode and revert to factory specs and it would run fine with no light. Took it to many mechanics, and none found the fault. Took it by Chevy and they tested the ECU and found a fault causing a short in the circuit for the CPS. You could be having a similar problem.

Nice. Thats how I painted my Sunny. 87 cent per can flat black, and it looked pretty good. But now it's about time for real paint, so I wet-sanded it and primmed it. I'm gonna go with some good ol' fashioned BRE310. lol
