  1. Just throwing this out there, my 210 ran better with just the centripetal advance in the dizzy. I found about 5 BTDC -9 ran best.
  2. Vacuum advance doesn't go to manifold vacuum, it goes to the carb. I think the front carb should have a port. What are the SU's off of?
  3. 1st gen Bronco with an EFI 351. Pretty sure it's a Windsor but IDK.... One of my shops is doing some work on it, a mall crawler at it's finest. But completely built to conquer any mud in it's path.
  4. A MUST WATCH for F1 fans. Pretty interesting, they follow Senna and Ratzenburger's last team member before their day-to-day crash's/death the same weekend at Imola. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFUZuMBPq9o EDIT: It's Senna week. Check out the rest of the video's on the channel.
  5. Lets do it! I need to order soon, idk when though. Still gotta polish them Thanks man! I've honestly been looking for good quality hardware, that actually helps. Price is awesome too. $33 to do all 4 SSR's
  6. For those of you who don't know. RIP
  7. 14x7 SSR MKIII's for my 240Z. Need to get some hardware.
  8. Update: I now have lights. Found the PO had a 'mechanic' (I struggle to use that term seriously) do some ghetto wiring that involved cutting the harness up coming out of the fuse block. I repaired some wiring and now I have hazards, brake lights, and turn signals. I have a short in the left turn signals I have to find, then I need to grease the wiper linkages. It's so deadly slow. I have new poly bushings from MSA to put on, a few small things, and I'll be on the road with the Z. Headlight contacts were boogered up so I cleaned them up. That should help restore function to the 'flickering' switch.
  9. If you want to run a vacuum advance, connect one to the distributor, and plug the extra's. Or you could plug them all, but it's not a bad thing to have vacuum advance.
  10. Judging by how worn out everything on your steering/suspension is, that clunk could be coming from anywhere.
  11. 6'' 150lbs I'm a tight fit in my 620 with buckets.
  12. I've still got the truck for a while! At least until the 240z is DD status  Getting closer every day! I've spent literally every free second that i've had light with this car for the last 2 weeks. My girlfriend hasn't hardly seen me :console: Here's an introductory video with the first shake down run. I became aware of lots of issues after this run.... http://youtu.be/Jp-RrIxN9UU The noise I was hearing accelerating, the clunking you hear when I was pulling out of the bay was actually a blown up halfshaft. I'll upload a video of that later. Thought it was diff mount or moustache bar bushings but those are actually fine. After tightening the driveshaft up and replacing the damaged half shaft, the car drives better but is still wobbly in the front end.
  13. I would have popped....seriously. Good luck man.
  14. Stiffer shocks? Yeah wheel hop is bad and will wreak absolute havoc on your drivetrain, so don't do burnouts until you rectify it.
  15. Bolt came out easy! Gonna chase the threads and get the motor together. The E31 head is trashed. I have an N47 head from Daniel that's going to go on after I clean it up. The close chamber and bigger valves should equal more power. I'm just disappointed that the N47 (maxima) head doesn't ave the mechanical fuel pump cut out. Kinda sucks... But I have a spare electric.
  16. Mother of god were you planning on switching to diesel with that compression? New Ford powerstrokes are 15:1
  17. Nismo head gasket is fine for any built motor. It's what I'm running on my higher compression LZ22. No issues, and I'm also using ARP hardware.
  18. Ordered my ARP hardware for the L24. Just gotta extract the broken head bolt, and bolt on a head and she will be running again!

      Nope, L24. I bought a 240Z!

Soak it in penetrating oil for a while before extracting it. Chase threads afterwards. All of them.

      O duh stupid me lol

  19. So here's the head. You can tell the guy drove on this blown head gasket WAY too long. The E31 head will be welded up, milled, and get a power build. in the mean time, we'll stuff an N47 on it.
  20. What size did ya end up getting? I thought about just cutting them off and welding the ports closed. I'll be getting a 6-2-1 header on there soon with a proper 'good' exhaust anyways. A few pics of progress.... It's parked next to Master_o_turbonics '64 Fairlady roadster. Only managed to snap ONE head bolt. And left a ton of thread hanging out, kinda happy with that. I'm just gonna get some ARP studs from Summit Racing and call it a day. The temp sensor wire was disconnected, so I'm guessing this motor has been overheating for some time now. The head has probably taken some damage, which is too bad. I know there is some visible damage to a coolant port on the back side of the head around cylinder 6... I'll post pics of that later.
  21. The wheels were worked out as part of selling the truck. 14x7. I'm hoping they'll clear the big 4x4 yota 4pot calipers without spacers. If not, I'll probably have to sacrifice either the brakes or the rims :(
  22. A couple pics. The L24 is coming along nicely. I'm taking my time tearing it down, inspecting every piece as it comes off to see what needs to be replaced. I have a shopping list.... Not as much coolant in the oil as I thought, so hopefully the E31 head isn't warped. I'd like to put it back on as is. On another note, what size is the cam sprocket bolt? Need to grab one when i head over there. Don't feel like loading up my whole tool box. A few pics of the interior. It's kinda dark but here's something at least... I had to rip the carpet out. It STINKS. Some small cracks in the seat.
  23. Wow I actually have no idea what you're talking about. I've never in all my years here seen a FWD 310 discussed in such detail. I hope someone can provide you with the right answer.
  24. No one can haz anything off this car except the rims that are currently on it. Yes they are SSR's and I love them so much. This car will not be hacked up. Just minor, MINOR stuff...
