  1. If that is plain hardened black they will rust, no question. I have been building motorcycles for ten years, everything is as exposed on a bike as a wheel is. And I have ruined enough parts with rust stains from plain old black bolts (usually found this when replacing the bolt because of externa,l visible, ugly, rust) I cant speak for the bolts you have though, I dont know their coating, they could be coated with a protective. But I wouldnt dare putting the "plain bolts" available to me here, on any set of wheels in Phoenix AZ, and we have the lowest humidity in the whole country. Orange in one month, guaranteed, seen it, done it, been there, not goin there again. The bolts im getting are plain black, costs $20 for 100 of them. Black chrome plating them will cost me $300, and that is the ONLY option, since literally nobody makes wheel specific M8 hardware in black chrome. And no non-specific hardware has the right size bolt head except these.
  2. The problem with "plain black" is that it will be plain orange in two months, even here in phoenix arizona. I need bolts with plating to protect them from rust.
  3. Taurus does make some decent guns though.
  4. He had 7 Maximas? Damn, I need some parts..............
  5. Where did you get your hardware? I assume they are M8x32? I am looking at getting black chrome but the cost is going to be over $300, but I get 200 bolts chromed for that price.

If you haven't heard if it, you can't afford it.

  7. Not everything needs a turbo, plus you get more points for going just as fast without one. (^says this while planning turbo system..............)
  8. Freshly polished lips. I have professionals with massive buffer/sanders at my work do this, they do very nice work.
  9. Yeah I would definitely consider a jig, or not doing it that way.
  10. Maybe if you all actually HAD a racing license (which is required for real track days by NASA and/or SCCA) then I wouldnt have to hear a bunch of internet educated drivers tell me how TERRIBLE Front wheel drive cars are in turns, LMFAO.

  11. I am not sure exactly when, but it should be soon. The powder just came in today. and I taped up the centers,
  12. Seriously? I think you need to go back to engineering school.

NASA or SCCA racing license, its a requirement for going on most tracks for track day. Its not that expensive and you will all learn alot, like you will learn how to get passed by a FF car with its ass end sliding. No but seriously you should all go get it. Its like $5-600 at most, then in addition to going to track days you can actually enter sanctioned race events if you have a car that will pass tech inspection.

Why are you still reading this? GO DO IT!!!!...

Real racers race around right AND LEFT turns.

  14. FR means that Power+Turning=Drifting (slow, slow = boring), FF means that Power+Turning=Overtaking (fast, fast=fun)

All your responses prove that you have never tracked a FF car setup for actually driving and not getting groceries.

Congrats, you all bit at me essentially proving you have little track experience and regardless of how much you have...

      I have more.

So theres this thing called LOGIC, try using it.

And if you drove an FF that oversteers, I am sorry, that car was setup WRONG.

My Civic essentially drifts if you turn hard enough, and so does every single track FF I have ever driven, go out and get yourselves some experience instead of believing everything on the interwebz.

And by the way guys, I switched from an EVO to drive FF, thats a step up if you again, actually have EXPERIENCE as a driver.

  15. It only ended up costing me $60 for all 4, but that is through my company. I dont know if that would be the same price as a walk in, but it shouldnt be too much either way.
  16. Tunershop.com, not alot of places have wheel specific hardware, or I have just had a hard time finding it. Tunershop's ebay store is a little bit cheaper than their website I believe.
  17. 1984 Maxima I definitely reccomend going the acid strip route, it removes no actual material, I can see machine marks now, that would be gone with sandblasting.
  18. Your gonna hog all that out of billet? (the coil cover part)
  19. I got the centers back from acid strip today. Removed 30 years of brake grime. and all the paint.
  20. I got some new front 5.25" components today from the craigslist. Brand new in box, just old stock. The Maxima comes with an 8 speaker component clarion system stock, so this is a direct replacement for it. I have the woofers installed already, I am going to install the tweeters and crossovers this week. They woofers sound great already though.
  21. LOLOLOL. I love the way they set the coil packs up in it, its still only a 15 minute job to change your plugs.
