  1. Thanks for the offer, but im running internal reg.
  2. O hai, maybe when you get back from Oregon we can work on teaching you how to drive a stick ;)

  3. This one was a Napa "Gold" reman, lasted since i built my Z22 engine in the 68 years ago, i'd say it served its time for a reman. Found a shop in Auburn that does old fashioned rebuilds, you know, REAL rebuilds, not just a can of solvent and brushes.
  4. Then yesterday i think I narrowed it down..'
  5. First "update" in a long time, things been running like a top! =) Anywho, car finally did it. I finally chewed up an alternator, after 5 years or so, and 3 different engines, track days, autocrossed, winters, dirt, etc, it finally shat out its bearings. For a NAPA Reman, i'd say it lasted a LONG time!! For the last few weeks i could NOT figure out this noise...
  6. Cold? You must all be from the desert, sheesh, that was mildly chilly at best ;P

  11. Had a great drive on Saturday doing our "leafer" fun run through Hope Valley. Weather was spectacular, no mechanical problems, all had a good time. We had 4 510's, Dave Witts pristine restored Corvette "Torch Red" 2 door, Dennis and Peggy Hale showed up in Datserati, My "gumby greeen" 4 door, Randy and Jacque Kashow (ranman72) from Sac brought their "KoolBlue" 68 2 door, and we also had a 4 door B210. (DAMMIT IM TERRIBLE WITH NAMES!) Heres my album of photos http://s105.photobucket.com/albums/m217/5anddimer/10-22-11%20Leafer%20Fun%20Run%20to%20Hope%20Valley/ Peggy took these photos: http://s1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee407/PeggyHale/
  12. Hey folks, for the month of October, SacDatsun will be taking a fun run through the mountains into Hope Valley. We call this the "Leafer" run, as the trees up there (forget the name) look amazing this time of year, the leaves turn a fiery orange/yellow. We will meet at the McDonalds in Cameron Park, CA at 9am, and take backroads through Diamond Springs towards Hwy 88. Everyone is welcome! Any questions feel free to email sacramentodatsunowners@yahoo.com
  13. Dave Witt, the president of Sacramento Datsun Owners, just took a tour of the US more than 5000 miles in length. He started in Santa monica CA and drove Route 66 all the way to Chicago, then 80 back to CA. This 510 was his project 7 years in the making, with an EFI L20B, and a COMPLETE resto(mod)ration, it was up to the task. Check it out! http://510route66.blogspot.com/ Before anyone asks, no, it never broke down =)
  14. Dude really? No mention of who drove 400 miles on the bumpers in my hard body to deliver said engine setup?
  15. So a couple local dimers and I decided to drop in on a mostly MUSCLE car show, we were the only Japanese cars present, yet still were met with a surprising amount of people asking questions, commenting about, "I used to have one!" etc. Fun evening! And the announcer said as we left, "Thanks guys for bringin your cars out! If everyones cars were THAT small we could easily do this on Sutter Street!" I was chased by a wild pack of muscle cars down E Bidwell Rd, thought they would try and race, but they all behaved...surprisingly... And check this, i was number WHAT!?!?! And the rest!
  16. Little smoother, less vapor lock when hot, slight, if at all, but i definitely like the aesthetics of it better than the cheap 2 piece i had. No hidden bolts to loosen up.
  17. Installed hi rise carb adapter and K&N filter
  18. Narrowly escaped becoming the THIRD wrecked 510 i know of today...Stupid idiots driving ACROSS parking lots...

    1. Logical1

      Logical1

Hate that shit, I know its only a car but I feel like I'm watching out for stupid drivers like flying bullets!

  19. looks like hwy 167/359 that crosses between the two. Nice! end threadjack :)
