  1. WHats the "preferred" way to eliminate the water flow from the head to the intake manifold on an L motor? Gasket without holes, or tap/thread the manifold and block it with a plug???
  2. Editing my original voltage drop post instead of new topic. 300ZXTT Alt appears to have same bracket dimensions as a 280ZX, if not close. 90amp as well. Any ideas on swap ability? I know about the saturn alt, but american electronics leave much to be desired...
  3. The joys of deciphering factory wiring. Like the 521, explain why there are not one, but THREE solid blue wires coming out of the harness... OEM... Lookin sharp Mr Abootman.
  4. Anyone have one of those cooling fans with more than 4 blades? Not looking for a flex fan.
  5. Granted my car wasnt "tired", but driving a total of 1800 miles Placerville CA-->Canby-->Grants pass--> disk around southern oregon-->back to placerville I chucked a wheel bearing (which were ORIGINAL to the 280ZX struts i installed) and lost a fan clutch from an el cheapo reman water pump. I call that a victory.
  6. Thanks! Will your car survive your driveway at this height??? I wonder if I will survive my own road...
  7. Trimmed a quarter coil off each spring Perfection!
  8. Its just a sticker on a horribly painted valve cover. Not exactly the "real deal" as my engine is just assembled from used parts from old race motors, not an actual "Rebello" buiild
  9. Photobucked uploaded them backwards...huh. Vent system perfectly tucked above diff. Gained over an inch in height! Need moar lower! Time to cut some off. Air gap...eew Ratsun hands New springs fit perfectly All bolted up except half shafts Professional fill-it-in-a-vice method Advanced high tech fluid retention system. WHoa!

  13. Still trying to solve a surging issue, part throttle gets semi violent in 1st/second, Other than that, it drives really well.
  14. The finished product =) Air filter housing is a shortened Z backplate and aluminum plate (outer), powdercoated gloss black. Holds an air filter for an 81 Escort perfectly =D
  15. Awesome, the weathers not supposed to be perfect, but im still going. http://www.weather.com/weather/wxdetail/95376?dayNum=3
  16. For the month of March we are going to try a Fun Run that we have never done before. The Mt Hamilton Fun Run. We will meet at the McDonalds in Tracy on Tracy Blvd just south of I205 at 8:30. From there we will take Patterson Pass Road to Livermore then Mines Road to Mt Hamilton. That is where Lick Observatory is located. From there we will drop into East San Jose and that some backroads past Calaveras Res and back to Livermore. This should be a great run. The only problem could be snow. Mt Hamilton is 4200 feet and the do get snow on occasion this time of year. So we will have to see.
  17. Those wheels...sell them and get some real Datsun wheels! =D
  18. Thank you! THere will be more to come in the near future. =)
  19. No fray, new cable, over a foot of excess cable I need to shorten
  20. Ya know, i thought about that, but with the economy the way it is, even butt lice are getting expensive...
