Hey folks, i recently replaced everything in my rear disc system. Rust had gotten into my calipers while the brakes sat for years. They are 83 200sx rotors, and 87 maxima rear calipers. Mounted upside down to retain the factory e brake cable system. Took it for a nice drive today, and the original vibration i started with 3+ weeks ago is finally gone. But, when i stopped, the back wheels were considerably hotter than the fronts. Attached is a photo of my rear disk system before new rotors, calipers/pads. I have verified time and again that the cables are slack and that the e-brke levers are resting on their stops. Another oddity, is that ifi come to a stop on ground with even a slight grade, the car WILL roll, so its not like they are dragging hard...
Now, i installed the pads into the spring steel clips with no grease. And it actually required taps with a mallet to seat the pads against the rotor.
Hoping its a simple solution or I am stupidly missing something here...
Any suggestions?
