They do fit the British market. MG and Datsun share the same bolt pattern. Put up the ad there and only nibble was a guy who wanted them for the same price as knock offs. And the buyer that backed off before was someone who knows a lot about Datsuns so it surprised me a lot when he told me his reasoning on why our deal wasn't going to work.

Well in the end I ended up giving them to a friend in exchange for totally rebuilding my Mikunis so I guess I didn't lose too much. Wish I was less busy the first time I actually sold them so I could make it to UPS to ship but Buyer wanted them instantly or his money back so thats how it went.

Just like the rest of the 510 it should be overengineered. You want to be confident that it wont move even under hard turning on a autox course. Because you're not only bracing it do that it doesn't bow in and out, you also want to prevent torsion. I would do 2 long gussets down the sides and be done with it.

I think the plate you're using is just too thick. While it does give some stiffness, a proper gusset provides way more of the structural integrity. Plus it would be cheaper for you and, subsequently, others.

I can't imagine this car being fast in any direction except straight ahead. Such a long wheelbase. So even if it is faster than the Bugatti it still won't be better. The Bugatti is fast in every scenario. But given the choice I would take Pagani over any hyper car any day.

I really hate the wheel market right now. Trying to sell my panasports and almost anyone who is interested expects me to drop down to VTO or ROTA prices. For brand new panasports. Same thing happened with my original Libres. Its almost like the companies exist only to punish those that buy higher quality wheels. I don't get how those companies can't sue. If ROTA was ripping off Apple they would have gotten sued before they even shipped their first set of wheels.

Im doing 87.5mm pistons and the NISMO is 88mm so it was pretty close to perfect. So if you can do the same for less I would definitely be interested.

what range of bores is this intended for?

Wouldnt it be stronger as a bent piece of metal with a gusset vs 2 pieces of metal? Also I would make a longer gusset as it will resist flex more.

You and I will cover completely different ends of the spectrum. I will have the NA high (for street) compression and you will cover the turbo part. And hopefully both types will be successful. I just ordered the pistons and crank today.

Update: So the 219 head ended up being just too much work and money for a minimal gain. I was about to stick with just my NAPS-Z pistons with 6 inch rods but Kirden may have found an excellent solution to use relatively cheap forged pistons that dont need to be cut with 6 inch rods and a z22 crank. I will probably do a heavy write up on this build as it will be the first of its kind in terms of pistons. Probably will sell the panasports to buy some Work CR01s in the future. Lots of stuff going on right now. Found some imperfections in the paint so have to show the painter and get that fixed and should be getting powder coated suspension parts back this week.

I might do this combo as well except with as flat of pistons as possible and forged of course. If they only have valve reliefs that might work. This is pretty awesome.

Which pistons did you end up finding. I might want to use them too...
