I've got one from Headliner Mart off eBay. The material and construction is good, but I have not tried to install it yet, so no opinion there.

Its nice. I have one in my wagon. Its a nice product. All about how you install it.

  4. What are they worth right now? I have the underdash part, the miniradiator for it, and the pump. Is that a complete system? And what is it worth?
  5. Well the only way that was my inspiration was the fact that it uses the centrifugal force created by air to filter out debris. Im saying that you could do something similar except horizontal. The reason it might be a good idea is because sock filters slightly reduce the venturi effect. Whereas using the centrifugal force created by the groove/fins to get rid of dust and other small debris might be a better solution for more horsepower.
  6. Actually, if you lengthen the horn and get the air to cyclone early enough you could do a perforated inner horn surrounded by an outside horn. This would allow you to gain the HP with the cycled air + will act as a natural filter so socks are not required.
  7. I meant I have a set of mikuni air horns. Just clarifying. Edit- oops I did specify that in my OP
  8. Groves may do better. You can borrow my Mikuni air horns for measurements if you want. Possibly a lot of small groves covering the entire inner surface. Edit- I would also flare out the horn more. At least thats the way my Mikunis are made.
  9. Someone needs to start CNCing these out of aluminum. Heat off my headers is my only concern. Great idea with the fins... You definitely should experiment a bit with pitch and size.
  10. I somewhat agree with Rick-rat. They don't look bad. But I would be cautious about a cast wheel that was copied from a forged design. Just because it passed DOT doesn't mean its going to be a quality wheel.
  11. Bad photoshop on the level 8s too. Wheel is at an angle yet logo is completely square on the screen.
  12. Japanese labor is not the same as chinese, Philippines, Thai, etc.

  15. Really interesting. I imagine that clearcoat would be a must in order for it to last any amount of time.
  16. Not true, please remove that post. This is news for the sake of news with no factual backing. If it didn't come from the family or the hospital then it is made up.
  17. There is a huge difference in the wheels you pictured. Iirc those rays are forged while the fake is obviously cast.

    Correct head gasket

Right but will it perform a lot better than a matchbox? I just have trouble believing that BRE could run single points in their race cars in the day and push those engines very hard yet a more advanced matchbox cant handle more than 7k?
