I think Steve, the seller, is a good guy. My engine is still being built so I can't comment on that, but he's very nice and helpful.

There could literally be 3-4 teams fighting for the title this year. Ferrari, Mercedes, Mclaren, Williams, and even Force India. Its fantastic. Hope next year they increase the fuel amount and flow so they can rev a little higher to get more noise out of the engines.

Ricciardo was robbed, by his own team. Red Bull should have known better.

I welcome the fact that my father and I wont have to wear ear protection when we go to austin this year. Of course I wish they were a little louder but it is much more of raspy sound than years past. And you are hardcore contradicting yourself. You were saying that all the drivers aids were ruining the sport. But now the cars are more to how they should be with more power than grip and suddenly your a fan of just point and shoot cars. Make up your mind because they are 2 very different things.

And watching the the drivers struggle with the car actually brings back the good ol days when the cars had more power than grip. That why all that extra torque is awesome. Its no longer point and shoot. The driver really has to have an amazing feel for the car

It will be a 2.3 not a 2.4. And some of those big bore motors don't have the best rod/stroke ratios.

What driver's aids are there? They don't have traction control, ABS, dynamic aero, etc. ERS and DRS aren't drivers aids because they dont make the car any easier to drive. I think you just have a false sense of nostalgia for the way races "used" to be.

F1 needs to change to stay relevant. The series is supposed to bring for technical development that will someday be used in road cars. Of course the old V8s sounded awesome, but still not nearly as cool as the old V10s. But he's not saying that the rarest Z cars are +90k. He just says oh a 240z thats 90k nowadays.

I already ordered ARP rod bolts. I dont plan on pushing it to 8k often or for prolonged periods.

I'm building a high revving l20 as many of you know and I was wondering if anyone had some lubrication tips for the lower end. I have both editions of the how to modify your datsun book but I was wondering if anyone had some pictured techniques and/or things not mentioned in the book. My goal is to be able to hit 8k rpm. Parts wise they should all make it there without a problem.

I like the new sound. And the cars are even more fascinating this year than previous years in my opinion.

My big problem with it is it just looks so damn heavy. Massive front end and thick pillars just visually weigh it down. And that is the complete opposite of the 510, 1200, etc. They look and feel light.
