  1. Did anyone else order tie rods from karnutz? I havent gotten mine yet and he said he shipped them out almost 2 months ago. I don't want to start a witch hunt, just seeing if anyone else had delays.

    Correct head gasket

Are they different rod bolts than the standard l20 ones? I thought you had to upgrade to something like small block bolts.

    Correct head gasket

No Z20E rods. The 6 inch rods.

Well forged pistons tend to not have the skirts fall off them at higher rpms and temps vs cast. And valve train components will be steel valve guides, steel intake valve seats, Isky valve springs with comp retainers. I think that will be good. And bottom end will be a brand new z22 and the rods will be shot peened and have larger bolts put in . BTW what rod bolts should i use for say a 8.5K limit? ARP obviously.

    Correct head gasket

I bought forged pistons to push up my redline a bit but was wondering if the NISMO head gasket would be enough or should I get a copper gasket built? I know the NISMO is probably the more cost effective option, but my redline is probably around 8k.
  6. He bought a bunch from Nissan. I'll probably be getting it by the middle of next week. I'll post pictures so you guys can drool over it :P
  7. Haha, with these pistons and a NISMO head gasket I should be at a perfect 10.007:1 CR according to the ozdat tool.
  8. Here's the pistons I'm using
  9. Regular phone is back up and working. Kinda

  10. Lol well I have dibs on one of his. I think he has a used one as well.
  11. Tom Neely has a brand new Z22 crank I need for my engine build and one of the things he is looking for is single point distributors. I've found several so I can bring down the price of the crank to a reasonable amount or if I find enough maybe I will be able to do a straight across trade.
  12. Yes, suspension and crossmembers are in powdercoating right now. Gave the block to machine shop to be bored, honed, etc along with the rods.
  13. Best main and rod bearing out there? Federal mogul or Clevite? Other?

  14. Looks like I am keeping the matchbox then.
  15. I have 3 single point distributors and 1 matchbox and I want to keep one and sell the rest. Which is the best kind of distributor? I heard that single point gives the most power.
  16. Hey guys thanks to spam I convinced my parents to cancel my planned marriage. Praise Krishna
  17. No noland head shop only does heads, but they are hands down the best in Kansas City. Place I gave my block was Mann Speed Specialty.
  18. Pictures required. If it is deep and there are scratches on the block as well then 100% yes you need new pistons and probably a hone.
  19. I have way more luck posting a wanted ad than replying to an ad for a item for sale. Thats how I landed my Datsun. People don't always actively want to sell their cars unless someone is looking. Also, people who really cared about their car don't want to sell to an 18 year old who are going to bastardize the car, which is why they don't actively sell.
  20. Update 2: Got the pistons in, look beautiful. Will post pictures later. Dropped off the block to be magnafluxed, hot tanked, bored, new freeze plugs, etc. along with the rods to have them reconditioned, peened, and larger bolts. Looking at about 300 for all of that so pretty good. Sent carbs away to be rebuilt. Hopefully sell the wheels soon and will get some money for Tom Neely's brand new z22 crank and legit datsun comp intake.
  21. What is a single point distributor worth?

Whatever that sucker'll pay for it! :P

  22. I agree with that part. I wouldn't run libres except for maybe a show with some period correct wheels. I guess my complaint was more about rip offs of new wheels bringing down the price of their real counterparts. So now unless you plan on running nice authentic wheels for a while before selling them you cannot expect to get the real value for premium wheels. I know the chinese wheels are certified and etc, but we all know the quality isnt the same as Japanese or American. It was just incredibly annoying and frustrating to have a deal broken up because of it.
  23. :fu: Guess you don't care if fakes bring down the price of what you own. And brand new Panasports are over 1k. My price is 750. And your definition of used is wrong. Once they start rolling on a car they are used. :fu:
  24. Panasport has been around for more than 30 years and are a high grade wheel in Japan. It doesn't matter what I paid for them. It's just a what their worth sort of thing. And most people that have offered me something for them have offered how much they would pay for a wheel made in the phillipines or china made with less quality. And that frustrates me.
