use an impact to get the rusted bolts out, if they break that is ok because you should replace them with new hardware anyways, if that doeasnt work you could always cut them with a sawzaw and a metal blade!!!

correct me if im wrong but couldnt you just use your stock fuel pump and run the line to the pickup on the bottom of the tank? you are probably wanting to rid your engine bay of your fuel pump and go with electric.

yes passenger side (i need to get into the habit of saying passenger or drivers!!!! lol) i have one that i pulled off of a 76 620 last week, the other side was smashed or i would have gotten it too, i need a Passenger side front turn signal lens the stock amber color, would you be interested in trading?

i just redid mine last week, i drained it sanded it then used duplicolor bedliner on the outside, cost me like 10 bucks, you can use a flap disk on a grinder, just make sure you drain the tank then fill it with water, or yeah you know what will happen. the inside of my tank wasnt dirty at all, just shiny metal, but i have use red kote on lawnmower tanks with excellent results

oh yeah wait a minute we both live in a part of the world that isnt exactly crawling with 620's, i guess you are better off with the diy restore

look up a gas tank coating called red kote, it is made by dupont and is available at oreilys, or you could find a tank at the yard:eek:

either have the head shaved, either get flat top or domed pistons, or get the 4f motor, might i ask why you would want to boost your compression on that old straight 6 anyways? it has plenty of torque for offroading and on the highway it handles like a lead sled
