  1. i wish you had come to the oreillys where i worked, i probably could have rebuilt your carb in the time it took you to drink your coffee at the gas station, anyways if your getting fuel and spark, it souds to me like you are getting one hell of a vacumm leak through one of your 400 plus hoses, removing the smog equipment and rebuilding your carb would be a good weekend project and would certianly help to elimante your problem, if it didnt totally eliminate your problem it would certianly eliminate one huge variable in your equation, if its a 79 with l20b then you have the newer type smog manifolds with heat riser, unless you want to keep the heat riser i would go ahead and get a different manifold while you are removing the smog crap, take into account the exhaust flange is totally different so you will either have to make a new flange and have it welded on or buy one with your manifold and have it welded on as well, as far as emissions you can take basically everything off the right side of the motor and only replace the manifolds and the carb, you need 2 vacumm hoses hooked up to your intake one for your brake booster and one off of your carb for your vacumm advance, everything else either goes or is blocked off, try to elimnate the hoses down to where they connect to metal (plugging hoses with screws or bolts is unacceptable and will most certianly make it run worse) take a few pics of your carb and all that surrounds it, post it and get back with us, i will give you a part nummber for carb kit if you need it, its not hard to rebuild

  3. hey what did you ever decide on your linkage? i have a centerpull linkage on my carbs but i havent ever run them i have a set of 44's that need rebuilt i have the bar and the aluminum arms but i need bushings and all that crap, post up pics of your linkage setup a little closer please so i can view them, thanks!!!

    thanks for the pics guys, i need the rods, the plastic pieces that hold the rod on the metal guide and whatever pieces that i need to attach it to the flap door, i guess since it only allows cold outside air i wont need them anytime soon, but i would atleast like to find some soon

    its soo damn easy to get it all apart, if it wasnt for the heater hoses taking 10 minutes to pull off the core i would have had the whole thing out in 5 minutes, i love how easy these are to work on, my core looked brand new, if i only had my side vents wokring it would be great

    so i finally got around to working on my heater and fresh air system in my 620, it was all torn apart from the PO, i cleaned up all of the heater core and the heater unit and got it wired up and working but the side vents on the passenger and drivers side wont work, i guess the little trap doors are closed but i dont have a way to open them, the little rods that open and close them are gone!!!!! can anybody post a pic of yours so i can see how they go, and if you have any extra let me know asap!!!! its 12 degrees here!!!! (atleast i have good hot air on the winshield and the floor!

  19. im interested in how you find the specific number of your truck, like say im 999 out of the 1000, they made that year, or in the whole scheme of 620's like 5 out of the 100,000 620's ever made
  20. i actually thought of just using 2 of those to make the lot of the light and then using the lower lumen bulbs to make up the rest, somone needs to measure of of their spare clusters and find out if the bulb is short enought to go in, take into effect the base of the bulb being in the socket

  22. hey guys i was looking through the selection at superbright led's and they offer a UV BLACKLIGHT BULB!!!!! in the 194 style wedge base!!!! totally bad ass, someone has to try some of them!!!
  23. as long as the description of the bulb on the website says it replaces a 194 or 168 bulb etc, you should be just fine
